Page 24 of carmagazine.co.uk, March 2023 issue- All about Mazda's return to the rotary. The MX-30 has a rotary engine acting as a generator. They shrunk it down to 830cc, at 73bhp, they fixed the seals - the seals have a friction reducing plasma coating, and it squeezes right into the engine bay - takes not much more room then a piston engine, even with the electric motor. Pretty cool.

My first instinct would be to remove the cat as a preventative action. But that goes against the electric hybrid ethos as an eco mobile.
I think the rev is not as high either.
Wish they make it as part of the drivetrain. EV for low end shove and rotary takes over for high performance application and zoom zoom thrills.
