not true my flight instructor has a 475whp integra and it's doing low 11s on the dragstrip

that is true, there are tons of 10 secs FWD cars. now im not trying to make my tiburon 10 secs. maybe 12-13 is good for me as a daily driver.

He said handling... which I'm guessing he was referring to corners and such. It's really hard to drive the same line/acceleration timing as in a rwd.

Definitely a nice tiburon, though not my cup of tea.

Oh most def, FWD sucks for cornering, and ive experienced that first hand with my FWD friends on a mountain run.... but when it comes to drag its an entirely different story.

my car is setup for drag and not autox or togue.

and id figure its not going to be a lot of peoples cup of tea, unless u know nothing about cars or own a hyundai. but it sure is fast ;D

never had a chance to take it to the track yet. its not ready. lol

also our nearest track is about 1 1/2 - 2 hours away and the day will cost about $100.

about $5 bucks toll 2 ways, food, gas, more food, and the fee to get in.

You know something though. It's funny some of the flaming you have experienced here; I have experienced a lot.

Just recently my boy with a Rx7 FD invited me to a car meet. Everyone there loved his car and were sweating it. Because his car is super duper clean with gorgous CCW wheels. Now he calls me and invites me. And almost everyone there with BMW's, Z's, etc etc; said,''OH Rx8's are slow, ugly, they never liked the body lines, it destroyed the rotary heritage, could never look nice." Then me being me I come in FAST in 2nd gear, down shift into 1st circle them and park. EVERYONE was like wow I've never seen a Rx8 so nice or sound like that etc etc. And everyone was sweaten the car. Just go's to show we all live in the shadows of the prejudice.

looks good, I will never judge a car again because every one has personal taste. 8's move ok in a strait line but there are alot of cars out there that will take it. I got mine for the looks and how smooth is drives. by the way your taking the flaming much better than most by now most of these threds are shut down

Well looking back with the knowledge of cars i have, i would have started modding with the engine first.

Yea, my car is really smooth too, quite with the stock exhaust (which is no more) and handles alright.

To be honest I really don't think mine looks to bad either. If you didn't know it was a hyundai i think more people would like it. i definately like my cars look over a civic si, or a tc, or even a rsx. and i will even have to say an rx8. but thats jus my own opinion.

Yeah the flaming doesn't bother me. like you said everyone has their own opinions. I flame tib memebers for some of the stuff they do. And im sure you flame rx8 owners for some of the modifications they do.

i just tell people this. if you dont like my car and you think its slow. race me and we will find out. I have never gotten anyone to accept.
