My car will be much faster on friday...
Hey everybody. Right now my car is in the shop getting all my mods installed. I can't wait to pick it up! My car is a '99 Camaro Z28 A4.
Currently my mods are: Longtube headers, Off road Y-pipe (no cats), Magnaflow catback, and an MTI clear airbox lid. With these mods, my car made 345whp/350wtq.
Here's what's being installed:
- Camshaft (228/228 .588/.588 112LSA)
- LS6 intake
- Ported LS6 cylinder heads
- Built transmission with 3600 stall
- Moser 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears
I should be over 400whp N/A and it will be good for 11's in the quarter mile when I get my sticky tires this spring. I'm so excited! I'll post videos when it's finished.
For now, here's a video of a GTO with the same cam that I'm getting. I'll have the same lope, but my exhaust will sound a bit different since I have a different catback and no cats.

Dayum. Nice choice of mods...and music. Slayer crushes. I can't wait to see some 1/4 videos. I miss my old muscle car days sometimes. I used to have a '66 Barracuda in high school. Was so nice to be able to pop the hood, take off the airfilter, loosen the distributor and power tune the car with just a screwdriver. Would like to pick up a '68 or '69 Roadrunner as a project car one of these days. You can't beat that V8 rumble. Congrats on your cars makeover. It's going to feel like a new machine. One word of advice...invest in a big brake kit. It takes some strong brakes to slow down an 11 second car of any weight and an F-body is no lightweight either.

I don't, um....what?
Anyway, the delay is not my shop's fault. Comp sent me a defective cam, and they are currently out of stock of the 228/228 cam I ordered. So I had them send my shop a similar cam (228/230). It should make just a hair more power than what I originally intended.

Well my car sounds like that now!
We ran a simulated quarter mile at the shop today. Accurate within .1 seconds. The car ran an 11.7. Exactly what I expected. Wooohooo!
