If there's a 500whp Renesis out there, please provide a link or something. Most I can remember seeing out of a Renesis at this point is ~360whp.

Ike: No offense bro I’m sad you’re on the rx8 forum in any way shape or form I can’t even acknowledge the fact you understand how a car works. You said "whp is whp no matter fr, awd, fwd" HAHA I have nothing else to say, start from the basics Ike, take a look at a driveshaft study it learn what it does then move on from there to the rest of the car, when you have realized that it makes a world difference in racing (straight or track) you may post again on this forum, until then refrain from doing so...

Anyways by the way I’m glad to say I ran the STi last night. (Hopefully vids soon)

It was a pretty cool night and the twins were being very responsive (according to the defi guage I was boosting nicely). Just washed the car so it would be fresh and clean I literally turned the entire car upside down tiring as hell though lol. I gave my car a nice wax job so that I would reduce surface drag.

Anyway we met around 11:30 and after his trash talking we decided to head to the parkway.

He wanted it out the dig so I agreed then we ultimately agreed that a first 1st gear roll was fair. We started in 1st fairly high in rpms so I was already on secondary. We were pretty much neck and neck when we were WOT I switched gears pretty fast and got pretty good traction (thanks to mr. torsion lol). In 2nd gear I was about a car in front of him, my turbo’s were sounding nice definitely much more power with the cooler air. When I switched to third I was about 3 cars ahead of him, I kept going redlined and switched to fourth and shut down at like 130 I was around 5 cars ahead of him. We ran again I explained to him his fmic wouldn’t heat soak my stock ic would. He asked me if I had used all my nitrous and that’s why I didn’t want to run, okay I say “let’s go again then”. I ran him again and almost same results except this time after the race was over, I challenged him on some twisties in 2nd gear and showed him the skills he easily dropped back…

Ultimately I shattered his dreams of running a low 11 at MIR lol and hew as pissed at me and the world… He was upset as hell and kept claiming to others, "he does a good job of hiding his nitrous".. HAHA No I do a good job of customizing a car and utilizing its weight and power ratio to beat your STi...

He claimed I was in the low 11’s so he was probably in the mid 11’s…HAHA Sounds just like Ike… I know for a fact I’m only in the high 12’s (12.8-12.9) damn good for exhaust, dp, and intake if you ask me.

Anyways that’s my story hope you guys enjoys, much love and let’s keep the harmony between brother’s 7 or 8 were all one big family!

It's a nice story actually but
1) you posted an rx-7 story in the rx-8 section. we have a general automotive section for all non rx-8 cars. you should've posted this there.

2) it's a kill story, which while it was pretty cool to read about an rx-7 kick some ***, they're not allowed on this forum. usually when a board allows them you get really really stupid kill stories. like how a prius was keeping neck and neck with m3s until the limiter or with sports bikes until 60mph. or how priuses will beat mustang gts as long as there's a hill and a slight curve... there's no real point in kill stories unless you're talking about modified cars. cuz stock for stock, you can just look at the performance numbers from car mags and determine who would win if the drivers were equal in skill.

jmaluso: it wouldnt rape me actually I have a buddy with a nice suspension setup and a 558rwhp setup that beats any sti or lancer from a dig..i have beaten them from a dig too....guess you dont know how to drive your car and think that awd drive support is the only way to go fast ; )

I apprecite most of you who are understanding and have made some pretty interesting comments but the haters need to calm down we are all on the same plain here..no one is trying to be on top of the other I actually love the 8 and thought you guys would enjoy hearing a story of a cocky owner who was thinking he could beat down on a rotary..in the end it looks like more boxter lovers are in here than trochoid chambers

Ok. So did you race this person with your car? or your buddy's car with a nice suspension setup? I don't understand you at all...so you don't think a similar setup STi with slicks couldn't beat your buddy's RX-7? BTW there are STi making big power too...NOT just RX-7, Supras, Civics, and EVOs. I am definitely not and idiot...I know there are fast FWD, RWD, and AWD cars...

And actually I have owned an STi and frequent NASIOC.com daily - North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club.

I already said I wasn't hating on FDs in general...just your attitude about the whole street racing thing and how this STi "boy" is an idiot and his cars sucks...I am not backing anyone up. I love the WRX, WRX STi, RX-8 and the FD RX-7.

So what mods do you actually have (how many miles on the car and how many on the motor) do you do your won work on the car and for the record how old are you? If you don't mind..

Hmm nice kill.......besides for the story being unacceptable by forum rules ((everyone else is just mad that they can't do the same )) .....as far as im concerned 8 owners just act like the little siblings of their famous 7 elders and get pissed whenever they are grouped with them ...think of some movie or pop star families....and ya got it....7's are the michael's and the 8's are the titos .....however this thread is best posted in the general automotive section....but speaking of 7's anywhere here will get you flamed so it really doesn't matter where you post...just enjoy the 7 boards =)
