1998 98K
Heres the details:
Cosmos Black 4-door sedan with black and grey leather interior, 5-speed automatic with Sport Mode and a few tasteful modifications that make this already fast car even faster. The Good: * Stromung cat-back exhaust and custom cold-air intake. These add about 15 horses and sound awesome. * Genuine-BMW Euro-style clear light set. * Dark black tinting on everything but the front window. * 18-inch BMW rims on all 4 wheels with new (less than 6 months old) Sumitomo HTR Z III high-performance tires. * Complete dealer service 6 months ago. * New A/C condenser with fresh coolant pumps out arctic air. * New camshaft position sensor. * New rear trailing arm bushings (this is the most common problem with E36 M3s and it has already been taken care of, so you will not have to worry about it). * Stock stereo with 12 CD changer. * Heated front seats. * Automatic climate control system. The Bad: * This car is fast. Really, really fast. This may lead to problems with certain law enforcement agencies. The Ugly: * Needs some minor touch-up paint work. If it does not sell fast, I ll probably spend the $200 to do have it done myself and raise the sale price by $500. * Wear on both the bolsters of both front seats and a small tear on the passenger seat - a common problem for M3s of this era that can be repaired with a leather kit. There are plenty of DIY guides online. I just don t have the time to do it myself. * A little bit of road rash on the rims. I am told it can be buffed out. Don t be fooled by cheap imitations! This is not a 3-series tarted up to look like an M3. This is not a rebuilt salvage. This is a low-mileage M3 with clean title ready for immediate sale. It has never been in an accident.

e36 ftw. my buddy has a '99 and it's one of the few cars i would take over the 8. it strikes the perfect balance (for me, at least) between performance and comfort. my brother has an e46 and the little guy is bit more...something. the e36 fits like a worn leather glove.
shame you weren't able to grab a manual. nice looking car though!

Yeah...a manual would've been too good to be true! It does have the sport/econo/manual mode selection so you can 'shift'. Still not a manual but I'm not gonna complain! I didnt think I'd ever have one of these...much less before I was 25 w00t!

Nice I had one in 2003 It was a 99 m3 It cost me soo much money I had to sell it. the first week I had it the pcm went out a new one was about 2500 the tail lights are a big issue. The only thing that was really good about the car was the engine. Also had the water pump go out about 500. But I did love that car almost as good as a rx8 so much fun to drive. I would love to get a 99 and rebuilt it and put a e46 motor.

As a bit of advice from a guy that's worked on his fair share of E36 M3s.
Make sure to get your cooling system in check. The stock water pump should be replaced with a high performance variant with metal housing - a common failure point that leads to destruction of the motor.
