My one day adventure

I just saw my buddy, just happens to own an STi, the other day. I was like, man you gotta let me drive the STi someday, I've heard awesome things about it. Then he said, I was thinking the same thing about your car. So he said, how about we switch for the day? I said sure grabbed the keys then I warp speed 9'd it out of there.

1st gear: OMFG
2nd gear: OMFG
3rd gear: OMFG
4th gear: start breathing again
5th gear: wipe sweat off my brow
6th gear: slow down cus I'm doing 130

Then I pull over to the side of the road, grab my pack of ciggy's, get out of the car, light a cigarrete and stare at the car. I've driven 350 hp itr's, supra tt's, rx-7's, 300z's, mustang cobra's, etc.
When I throttle it in first gear, it's like I warp to another dimension, i seriously thought the seats were gonna break from pushing me back so hard. That AWD is killer, it never lost traction in any of the gears where as the other cars i mentioned above would lose traction like a ****. On a side note, the STi has a stiff *** ride and a playskool interior. Cornering?? fuggedaboutit. I was driving on some twisty's that I usually play around with when I have my rx8. I know the body roll and the flex can be dealt with on the rx-8, coilovers and strut bars, tower bars, etc...
But the STi in stock form is unbelievable, i in fact tried to lose grip while driving it and it would not budge. tried doing donuts and all it would do was spit up a little gravel an then retain traction once again. This car is not for the mild mannered, it is for the bold. If you ever have the opportunity to drive one, do it, it's an out of body experience. STi=5 thumbs up.

:D

I dont want to do 20,000 miles a year in a stiff *** ride.

True, I did miss the nice comfy leather supportive seats and smooth suspension in the rx-8. The seats in the rx8 actually supported me better than the STi. But when you'r e driving the STi, none of that **** matters. The STi is a no nonsense fast *** car.
