My Speed 3 custom sub box & gauge pod
Just wanted to post a few pics of what I've done to the new ride. When I made the fiberglass box I decided to flush mount the 12" sub to give it a cleaner look. I bought a Lotek Speed 3 pod and molded it into the center dash panel. I have a few other projects that I'm going to start soon...enjoy the pics.

I'll have to post a pic of the gauge pod in the car tomorrow. It was dark when I got home today and I have my RX7 on jack stands in the garage so I can't pull it inside.

I was looking at that box but thought it was way to small. I'm not sure of the volume of my box. I use the "I guess this is the right size" method when making these boxes. My method must work cause it sounds pretty damn good to me. Check out the box I made for my wifes BMW 545i. I eneded up selling it cause the local BMW Dealership claimed the 100 watt amp I was using to run the sub caused the airbag system to malfunction. I had the dreaded "passenger restraint system malfunction" pop up on the I-drive 3 times....once after I removed the stereo system. Of course the dealership said it was still due to my aftermarket stereo install. Luckily they reset it a third time and it has not come back.
