New 2012 Mustang Boss 302

Cool, a Mustang that looks almost exactly the same as the 2010 base Mustangs, but with the word "Boss" after it.
Next year, Ford is throwing their V8 into the GT models making the Boss look like the "RX-8 GT" to the "RX-8 Sport"; only a 40 horsepower gain over the 2011 Mustang GT, with both cars outputting the same amount of torque. Though, instead of there being a 2k difference in price similar to our Sports and GTs, I'm expecting more of a 10k-15k difference seeing how they're showing off this car as something that is "limited" or is a "novelty" of some sort.
I've never really been into Mustangs, but I've always liked the look of the Boss. It looked and sounded like a boss; it represented American muscle for decades and I guess it still does today. Kind of annoys me to see this moron Ford representative to go on about how excited they are to "Bring the Boss back", and how big of a deal it is to them, when it looks and sounds no different from every other Mustang on the road. Ooooh, quad exhaust, complete with sidepipes. Big deal...

It really doesn't seem like it, though I didn't look into that "Laguna Seca" package. There's probably some significant suspension upgrades that help set it apart from GTs, but what more is there? It looks the same and probably drives the same as a GT.

"...closest thing you're gonna get to a race car with a liscense plate." ....Because of the Brembos? Did part of that video get cut off or something? I'm sure it handles better than the other Mustangs but that comment made me laugh out loud.

God that looks BLOODY AWFUL...What were they thinking..get rid of the paint..
It almost has the "pimp" look (well to me), WAY overdone color..
Never liked the dash, too retro, looks too primitive...
I guess Mazda will like the "free" advertising in the "Laguna Seca Model"
Yeah, it looks 49 years ago Boss..

Comon guys...this IS a polished jewel, at least in the Mustang stable... a real honest track car. Someone at Ford (who is unfortunately color, decal, and style blind) at least knows how to set a car up for the track, and not just for a 'fun run', but to serve real justice on just about any car it might cross paths with.
The Luguna Seca package is the spit polish on the jewel with splitter, rear seat delete and brace, adjustable track shocks (!), Brembo brakes, exhaust cutout, and more...right from the factory!
With a repaint/decal delete, this is something I could gladly warm up to.....
Kudos to Ford! And the price......Nice!!!!

This version is okay looking. Performance wise it is a steal i think.
However i saw the red wheeled version in person at the auto show and it is just hideous, there is no getting around that. The black with red wheels is just gross.

When I first saw this like 1/2 yr ago I was like wow another rustang with brembo and some adjustable cheap shocks and they dare to call it a race car ... Failed
But meh lots of ppl in Alabama will buy it if you know what I mean.

Hate the highlighting on that black car - absolutely hideous .
I will say that a Mustang in this country has way more head turning power than an RX8 . More to do with the fact that you could count the total number on one hand than how good it looks .....
