the car makers need to make NEW cars, not copy old ones, and they wonder why GM is taking a dive, every year they talk about this 'all new for 06' or whatever and it looks exacaly the same....

NEW cars, NEW style......

Right now car companies are doing what ever is in there power to sell cars and make atleast some money. If it takes a retro car to do then so be it. That generation car has a certian magic about it. I would like them a whole lot more if they had MT instead of AT. I agree with the idea of not seeing the next generation. I have no idea what the hell those cars could look like. Does it evolve one the retro design or does it return modern and move forward. who knows. Pushing the envelope is great but its a risk for the manufacturer. One that many companies cant affort to mess up. not to mention brand new cars are expensive in terms of design R&D and production. I do like the idea of an exotic looking 24k car tho.

I like it... It will be interesting to see if it makes it. Chevy better hurry and bring something back (Camaro, Trans Am, Firebird). The market is wide open right now with no competitors in Mustang's class

Yeah... some try to say that the GTO is the GM/Pontiac competitor to the Mustang, but... styling is pretty dull and price is beyond the Mustang.
