New found respect for 05 Mustang
If you did not know before, I was not impressed with the 2005 Mustang. I thought the rear of the car after the rear wheel was TOO LONG. I thought that it looked kinda sorta OK but was too much of the old style for my taste. I complained about the front lights and finally I did not like the HIGHLY retro interior either.
After I went to the auto show I have to say that pictures do not do it justice. While I'm still reluctant about it I was impressed by the looks of a BLACK Mustang GT I saw at the Orlando Auto Show.
I think the black color kinda hid some of the things about the car I did not like styling wise so it looked very tough in black. I then went to Ford.com and found out that it's going for about $25,000 ($2,000 more than I'd like) but still OK.
Here is a picture of me in the car and I have to say that the interior is not so bad at all. Has this changed anything regarding my 8? Naa, not really...
The rear is kinda tight in head room and knee room. It's also harder than the 8 to get to as you know. But, if I test drove one and got a great price....maybe I would listen...just maybe....
Note: Sorry I did not get a better shots of the black GT but too many people were in the way to get a good shot.

There is a black, and a red GT here in my lil home town, and one Silver (lower end model) I test drove the black GT and the silver one, and I have to say, it was OK. I wouldnt replace my 8 with it, but I did think about getting one for my wife just for $hitz and giggles, but low and behold, my wife says "HE11 NO"! So, no it is I guess.

I love '65s so I was salivating when I saw the first pics, but in person I've seen 2 and been disappointed. They were both V6's and earth tones, though. I thought the interior was too retro! Reminds me of a friend's '69. I want something contemporary and functional on the inside; the retro outside is enough for me. The problem with retro designs like this is that they age fast since the styling is familiar to start with. I like the yellow one!

Yeah, I think FORD could have done ALOT better...the interior is really what I don't like, but I guess it's funny that I only like it so far in BLACK...everything else I don't too much.

No, Ford does not sell the Mustang around the globe. You see only very few in Europe for instance, and I presume they are mostly private imports.

Ford should've have stuck with the concept design...I was impressed. Gave them too much credit to think they would come out with it. At least the 350z concept pratically looks exactlyl like the production.

I've seen a couple of dealer plate models driving around. As with every new Mustang I don't like them at first but as usual this one is growing on me. From the reviews this thing sounds like a pretty tight car now that the Fox platform was ditched.

I just can't get my mind around them- I thought the concept that I saw at Detroit two years ago was beautiful- but this new one is kinda weird. I almost mistook one for a cadillac the other day because it's butt was so big.

I still think the interior is too retro for my taste, I like round or smooth shapes inside of a car so it’s sharp edges does not impress me much. But, could I live with the interior…Heck yes I could, I’ve owned two cars in my life and both with over 100,000 miles on them…so I’m not too picky with the shape or colors inside.
Would I consider it….well, I am…but I don’t know how much my love for (but never tasted) V8 can carry the things I do not like about the car. Which are:
No independent suspension
Tight rear seat comfort
Just OK Handling sports car
Rear lights, rear end of the car
Only a 5spd
RIMS…yuck!
What I like were, are:
V8
Front part (about right were the door windows end) of the car (minus the 2 extra LARGE grill lights)
Did I mention the V8…LOL
The Price
The V8 with 300HP…OK, I’ll stop
