Looks hot, ehh? That's not stock, but stock one is pretty good also. Roomy and good power.
Discuss Azera Here.

That's not a bad looking car and hyundai has so far proved decent build quality. However, if I were to buy it, the first thing I would do is de-badge it!
Sorry Hyundai, I don't mean to disrespect, but...I will anyway.

Saw the Azera up close at the Portland Auto Show last month....damn fine car if you ask me, certainly beats other cars like the Avalon or even a Mercedes when you factor in the price (and I work for Daimler Chrysler too). Hyundai's made some huge strides over the last 10 years.

I am extremely impressed with the interiors and build quality of the newest gen Azera and Sonata.
The only thing new purchasers probably worry about is resale value. Only time will tell whether that changes.
Korea will be one of the many reasons we are now headed into a deflationary period regarding new car prices.

I own/love an RX-8, not a Sonata I've actually had a rather low opinion of Korean made cars up until a couple years ago when I noticed their quality and refinement was really picking up.
Kia's quality has actually picked up significantly as well (though not to the extent of Hyundai). But I think that has more to do with Hyundai having a significant portion of ownership in Kia.
I read a couple articles a while back mentioning a trend in quality/reliability of cars forming in the last few years. Apparently Japanese/Korean cars are on top, followed by domestics, and the European models bringing up the rear (unfortunately this also includes Mercedes -_-)

I see your point about Europeans but I'll bet you black and Mexican people have a preference for black and mexican cars.
I wonder if there is a car manufacturer in Africa, not counting South Africa. I do believe there is a Mexican car maker in Japan called Nissan.

Don't underestimate Kia's desire for building quality cars.
My parents recently bought an 05 Kia Amanti, and let me tell you that thing is VERY nice. Nearly every piece of material in that car is of high quality. I seriously can't find much of anything quality-wise that would make you think it's cheap. If I had to complain, the mileage sucks more than the RX-8, head unit interface could be better, and it tries to rip off the styling of every luxury make you can think of.
There are a multitude of features that you would find only on higher-end cars. 4 windows auto up/down, moonroof, dual climate zones, mercedes-style seat adjustments/memory, great sound system, to name a few. Not too shabby for $26,000. Damn Kia should pay me for this stuff.

im not that impressed by it. looks like a 99 - 2000 design in terms of styling.
i think the koreans no doubt pack a nice value and quality seems to be improving.
but just cause you can get a nice burger at a restaurant doesn't make it a classy one. that's their biggest challenge, just perception.
