note to mazda:

Dont do this with the RX-8, just new bumpers, led tail lights, 25 MORE HP and new wheels will do

Old one looks better. Even on g35driver.com they agree.

I like the part in the Edmunds comparison with the 335i coupe where the BMW hit oil temps of 300F and had to call it a day in desert testing.

I mean damn, 300F? I think that would cook even Royal Purple oil.

The sedan is a nice step forward inside (especially) and out, performance too. But the coupe certainly doesn't seem like a step forward style wise, the new Altima coupe may look better.

The idea that some people think the old one looked "mean" is a complete shock to me. This car is and was extraordinarily low-key with very basic, classic lines. It is and was huge compared to anything with the coupe moniker. I always thought of it as very bland and way too simplistic. Seemed like much, much more luxury than sport at least from the outside appearance. This new one is almost identical in feel to the old one as far as I'm concerned.

I like the lines. Lean and classic lines are the thing luxury cars are made of... and make no mistake... this is a luxury sports tourer.

I agree that the sedan made a bigger statement... a bigger change from the previous car... but then again... I love the G35 coupe and it sold well... why mess with success?

From the looks dept the old one looks better to me. It was good looking with a bit of an edge to it. This one is too soft.

The interior does look improved and it really is supposed to be a GT car not a straight performance car.

I for one will be interested in the reviews. I don't think it will unseat the 335i even being 7k less in price.

What happened to the cool concepts they had a few months back? Those were good looking cars. This redesign sucks.

i wonder if in person it looks better. The 07 sedan looks much better in person than photos.

this coupe looks decent...i think i like prev gen better. This one to me has a bit of Lexus sc430 in it as well.

I'm not feeling it from the pictures I've seen so far...

There are far too many curves and bulges, when the original was more about subtle lines.

I love the current gen for it's classy exterior styling, but aggressiveness seems to be the focus of this 'redesign'. If I wanted aggressiveness I'd look for a 350z.

Okay, it looks better in those pictures, but there's some kind of awkwardness going there. I think it's a combination of the tail lights not wrapping around as I would expect them to, and something about the lumpy front end. I definitely like the previous body style better.

It's ginormous. What's it supposed to weigh fully loaded?

I'd rather have the current model. Even the sedan looks better than the new coupe.

Does it look a lot difference than the Nissan Altima coupe coming out?

I saw the Altima coupe at the Atlanta auto show and it did not look that bad, except for the fwd part.

The concept looks hot. It seems everything got more bulbous and round from concept to production.
