Why are people comparing the damn s2000 with miata...
s2000 is 33 G's.
miata is 26 G's.. s2000 is overpriced... miata is perfectly priced....
Also.. i saw a turbo s2000... get smoked by a maxima... i dont know what it had under the hood... but at NOPI... hahaha... maxima was manual though... and s2000 had turbo in it... man it was so funny...

I got to drive it at MotorSport Ranch yesterday. Here is my quick write-up from the Miataforum.
I was at MotorSport Ranch yesterday and it was a blast! The Mazdapseed Miata is so much fun to drive and the extra power and other touches are, IMHO, exactly what the Miata has been needing. If I were in the market for a fun sporty convertible and did want to spend a bunch of money then this would be it.
When I first got there, I took a few "hot laps" with the professional drivers on the big track and man could these guys drive. They were flying around the corners at 90mph with ease. I then got to drive through a small autocross course and later got to drift around a slalom.
We then headed over to the big course and followed the pro driver around the track going faster and faster each time with the car behind the pro dropping back to the end after each lap. We didn't go nearly as fast as they did obvously but it was still way too much fun.
After that, I got to drive an S2000, BMW Z4, and MR2 Spyder through a small autox course and then we took a few laps each with the Mazdaspeed Miatas. The extra power, suspension changes, transmission, and tires and wheels all work really well together and really help to enhance what is already a great car.
I know there are those who are plenty happy with the stock Miata as well as those who want way more power than the Mazdaspeed has, but for everyone else the Mazdapseed should be what you are looking for.
