Lotus was the first thing I thought of, like the Lotus 2-Eleven...The interior is kept to a minimum like a lotus but has a nicer overall finish to it.

Mazda you fail! Why do I say that? They've probably made the most wanted Miata, but they've left the most important part out. WHERE IS THE ROTARY!!???? It's meant to be lightweight, so really please a rotary! I don't care, 12A, 13B whatever (should be a 20B though!). This is probably the last special Miata they will make for the 20th anniversary, why not put a rotary for special occassion!!???? Or even the 16X and use this as a test bed !!!

 

the miata will never have a rotary. mazda would be killing 1 of their 2 selling brands. the mx5 and the rx-X. better to have 2 cars out there than one.

anyway, looks nice. it is faster, but 8.9 seconds is awfully slow.

 

as a one off special I think it deserves one, or just to satisfy those people out there like me that think the MX-5 should have a rotary.

8.9s is awfully slow for something that looks so quick, but I guess your perception of speed will be warped with no windshield and the openness of the car. I've never driven/ridden in a speedster before but I know at 100kph, roof down on a convertible feels a lot faster than roof up

though reality may slap you across the face when Camry's and Accords easily out run you.

There is a Speedster for every gen MX5

 

I know it is a concept I was just in aww that they took that out because I have not seen it before....Didnt know they did it for every model either

 

I hope you know this isn't the US Mx5. This one has a 1.8L engine making 128 hp, not the 2.0L making 167 hp here in the US.

 

Too bad that Miata will never go into production...
