The current one has a simple, roadster type front end which is true to the original Miata concept and could easily be sold as is for another 4 years or so. This rendering is over styled, butchered (like a bad nose job) and flat out ugly with the black plastic bar and three slots. Hopefully the actual MX-5 won't look anything like this.

That would be a nice option, but the 2.3 turbo in this badboy will be far superior in power. I personally can't wait to see what comes out of this. There's no reason for the MS Miata not to be a low mid 13s car. Lets hope they do it right.

Why is half the planet willing to accept that these are official Mx5 pics? Did these pics come from an official Mazda source? How many supposedly official pictures came out about each new WRX generation and turned out to be a photoshoppers' jaunt?

The pics came from the same Japanese Mag that gave us the 99% correct pics of the new RX-8 a few weeks before the official ones....but you never can tell if they are just a photo-shopped exercise??

I don't like the headlights on the current one so this one is an improvement in that regards. I absolutely hate the three mail slots below the badge!!!

mazda's really pushing for a more aggressive look these days i guess, i don't think the designs are too bad but... for some reason they don't seem as "japanese" anymore, i dunno how to explain it. lost quite a bit of subtlety, but hey it coulda been worse. if they put in a renesis in that i'd take that up in a heartbeat.

Having said that, you never know, this one could be on the mark again. But I really have my doubts.
