We dont like it, Nissan dont care. Cuz we're the minority, and do u know how many commericals I see on TV everyday about the *All-New 2007 Nissan Sentra*
but LOTS and LOTS of people like these *lower price* cars .... and even *cheap* people demand performance .... (somewhat) thats why these SE-R Spec V exist.
Its just Nissan version of Civic SI. No big deal.

Maybe I'm the only one that thinks like this, but this looks like a miniature version of the Maxima. I think the Maxima is a handsome car, but it just doesn't translate well into the Sentra.

it woudl be nicer if the sentra was a coupe... but im really waiting and wishing that they would make the new 2-door altima in the SE-R version... they have the 3.5SE w/ 260hp, but im waitin for the se-r w/ the 265 and whatever else it had.. that would be a sharp lookin car..nice performance and looks for under 30k

It's already here, it's the 2008 altima coupe. It's not an se-r but it's lighter, smaller, and faster version of the Altima. IMHO it's not much to look at. You can read more here

I actually just saw an 07 Sentra today in a parking garage. It was black and some 17" black wheels (looked like Enkies) with a polished lip. Actually didn't look half bad. In person it looks a lot better, but it still isn't "attractive". I personally think it will be interesting to see what the aftermarket (body kits) will do with this thing.

but back on topic i too think it looks horrible....but alot of "newer" stlying car looks half decent with wheels and a kit...like the 2003-4 civic coupes...so that dosent really cut it...
but out of the factory....i think its butt ugly..!!

I have an '02 Spec V It's fun for what it is, but when the SRT-4 came out it was pretty much outmatched. The eninge looks like it is improved. The '02-'06 revved only to 6250. The new one revs to 6800.

This SE-R is certainly not up to the early 90's classic. It is not an inspired car, but better than the previous Sentra--but that's not saying much.

Seen a blue one of the new SE-R. The wheels look too small (big body) and the specs don't impress me... even for the price. I am a known Honda hater and definitely hating the dash in the new Civics and I'd still take a Civic Si over it (especially sedan... I like it better than the coupe).
In the compros... it won't do well. The GTI will still be the best all around car, MS3 the power beast, Civic Si the track car... we'll see where the Calliber SRT-4 fits in, but other than it's 300hp... it ain't got much going for it. The SE-R Spec V... no styling, no power... maybe it'll have handling... but that's about it.
You should see the Altima coupe in person... pretty hot. If it had AWD or RWD... I'd definitely be on that one.

I think just based on its unspeakably hideous looks alone, I'd pick just about every competing car. Slight edge in performance be damned, I'm taking an SI, Cobalt SS or a GTI over that ogre. I'm not going to drive a car that I know people are laughing at.
