I hate when things get so off topic, or the original question is not answered. This is between two cars the OP listed. Just pick between those two. Too many options will only get confusing. That being said, I say go for the z28.

ok so I didnt get either one of those two vehicles but I did just purchase an 81 z28 with a GM HO 350 and 700r tranny.....I know its a huge step in the other direction from adding an FI system to my rx8 but I decided Id rather just appreciate it for what it is and continue to do small supportive mods untill one day when I do decide to go FI.

anyways I should get the car delivered within the next 2 week (the company I chose to ship only ships when there are complete full loads and could take a while) but Ill be gone for the next month anyways so it doesnt matter.
