New Rx7 Dual Exhaust

Thought my new dual in-bumper exhaust for my Rx7 might be of interest here. Never liked having the exhaust tip just hanging down on the right like a 1972 Chevy Nova's exhaust.

Awesome. I'd be interested in some underside shots if you have them.

Pretty cool, can't see how the paint will hold up though.

I appreciate the comments, guys. I spent a couple of years designing this and coming up with how to make it work. I don't think heat is going to be a problem and expect no carbon/soot blackening. We take advantage of the high pressure in the bumper skin to flow a lot of air around the cat-back box in the bumper. The air exits through the trim tubes that surround the actual exhaust tips. That not only cools the stainless box, but also keeps the heat from the stainless tips from really ever heating up the stainless trim tubes. Since the tips are pretty much at the final rear surface of the car, any rich exhaust soot doesn't hit the bumper, like it did when it was underneath the car.

Again, I appreciate the comments. I'd note that my car is an NA 3 rotor, so I do not have any issue with flames. I'll put up more pictures eventually, but car is in Ohio being worked on and I am in Pennsylvania.

Here are a few more pictures showing he design and construction of the cat-back "box" in the bumper.
