New Supra? Could be rebadged as lexus 400hp hybrid or 500hp V8
#26
I've never heard of a car appreciating in value like this so "near-term" to when it was sold. Can anyone think of others? And I don't mean Ferraris and other supercars where supply intentionally was kept way below demand.

I agree with johnnyb, this car does not look anything like the original Supra. It's a supercar, but not the Supra.
But then again, that is exactly what Pontiac did with the GTO. They will do whatever it takes just to get people to buy their car, including ruining a reputation as strong as the GTO's was.

Any high performance car of the future from toyota WILL be a hybrid. It's already started with the 2005 Hybrid Truck from toyota.

As you can see toyota is 100% into hybrid cars for the very near future:

Search supraforums.com for "mkv" and you'll see what I mean
Supra == long dead.

I don't know if anyone read last months Automoblie magazine, but they had news on the "new Toyota supercar." They called it the 4500GT and said it would go on sale soon with most of the cars exported to Europe. Yamaha is working on a 4.5L V8 currently for Toyota that is suppose to go in this car. Although, they said Toyota might us a V10 based off of one of their current race motors. The car look good, nothing at all like the original 4500GT concept from the late 80's.
I know this type of rumor has been going around for years, but I thought I would share since it didn't see anyother posts about it.
