Thanks for the offer, but two things on that... I do *NOT* want a convertible (never been a fan, and the rear seat is useless then), and I'm not going to be ready to buy for another year unfortunately. I'm just trying to get some ideas for now so when time comes, I'm ready to rock and roll

not sure if you're a big fan of the new styling of the lexus gs, but this one sounds promising:

"Lexus has announced that the 450h will boast more than 300 horsepower, enabling 0-60 mph sprints under six seconds. The powertrain teams a 3.5L V-6 engine with a permanent magnet electric motor, creating the motive force attributed to larger engines in the segment. The math breaks down to simply: V-8 power with four-cylinder fuel economy."

Hey Hercules- what about a Mazdaspeed6? You can get it completely loaded up and still have a nice lease payment.- though you still have to deal with that local Mazda dealership.

What about a GTO? A Mustang? (A higher performance model stang will probably be available by then) What about an STi?

I would be tempted to get a base Vette....

Have you had any more clutch issues with the RX-8? Just curious.
