nismo 370Z, rx8 mentioned.
Even though its a Z article, the author gave rx8 R3and miata special props for handling better than the 370Z. It shows that true enthusiasts knows how to appreciate the rx8 outside of just track time and stats.
I foresee fanbois Spin9k, who we all know works for Mazda marketing, and Ash8 to have orgasms while reading this. :p for the rest of ya, enjoy the read and appreciate both cars for what they are.

But that's good atleast some journalists arent biased
Honestly, the 370z is a love hate car. But it always get's props for the superior handling compared to the 350z.

Is this what it's come to? RX-8's used to win comparison tests (and still do sometimes, I bet), but we're celebrating the mention of its name into a 370Z article? Kind of flattering that it was referenced to, but in my mind, they are in entirely different leagues. Especially the Nismo compared to the 8.

Even when going up against cars in different classes.
You can aways give a car more ponies but it's much harder to make a pig drive like a swan.

I know what you're saying but the 8 has been out since '04 and the "mods" done to the R3 can be done to any 8 so it only goes to show just how good the basic 8's were from the start.

Those rims on the Nismo are gorgeous.

the one i love is the autoblog article about yukata katayama, creator of the original 240z, commenting that he doesn't like the 370z as a sports car, that he think miata is the perfect sports car, and something like the miata (or that handles and costs like the miata) is what he thinks a japanese sports car should be. the current z is essentially a japanese muscle car. i like it, but i'd always prefer to own a miata or rx-8 (or 7) over a muscle car, even tho i've largely gotten over the catfish slithering look of the z34

In the last autoblog podcast they were asked if money were no object, but you could only have one car as your daily driver, what would it be? One of the guys picked the RX8. He didn't really care that it cost less, but he loves the way it drives, the utility, and he didn't want to have to drive some crazy exotic in the winter.

i think the writing could have been better, but i suppose the point got across. it has me wanting to go and drive one now just so i can compare it to the 350Z i drove a few years ago. i feel a bit validated by hearing my thoughts on the 350Z echoed by someone with at least some acclaim and relevant experience. i maintain that as much as i love rotaries (always will), if the 350Z had the character of the Rx-8, then i'd probably have bought it when i got my 8.
