c'mon they are starting to make ugly cars, the new maxima is hidious (the older maximas were awsome) the sentra is like the cheapest care ever, the murano has the ugliest dash and maxima and the titan which looks like garbage, nissan doesnt car if they have ugly cars they just want money

Nissan's styling trends as of late just keep plummeting downwards in my opinion. At least for the last couple of years, they've had aggressive front end designs whilst in general, the rear ends have disappointed me. Now, it's just...bleh, for the most part. At least the VQ is thriving, they have a RWD sporty coupe back in the mix (though having a US S15-equivalent post-1998 would have been nice), and offer their sporty rides in Infiniti-wrapping with better service (and better style).

I used to own a 99 Maxima. Despite the fact that magazines kept saying that it has an ugly rear I found the car more appealing than the Camry or Accord.
No idea what happened afterward with the CA design center as Nissan started cranking out "US" designs effective the 00 MY.
The 04 Max is plain ugly IMO. The only model from the Nissan/Infiniti line-up that I ever considered getting is the G35c.
Btw, the 05 V35 GT-R will look like the current G35C more than the R34. I am still keeping my fingers crossed and hoping Nissan to sell a FI version in the US.

I gotta disagree. Even though I love my 8, I'd still have to say the 350Z looks great... though it's true the interior leaves alot to be desired. Also, we just got a Murano for my wife... I think it's the sportiest looking street SUV on the market. Although the Infinity FX is close, but looks a little on the too weird side every time I see one on the street.

btw: $80k for a R34 GT-R is insane. You can buy a nice Porshe for that price~

Why would you but a car specificaly for tracking, that basicaly drives itself anyhow?
A track car should be a caterham or westfield or something like that. You, a fast/light car that handles on rails but has no driver aids.
ABS/traction control/DSC etc - great for real roads where peoples lives may be at risk, on track? I thought that was about driving skill and enjoyment.
Plus tracking a big heavy car like the skyline or M3/5 will end up with huge maintanance bills, if only for consumables like brakes.

For only $80K I will pick a used R34 GT-R over a stock Carrera 2. (C4S costs more than 80 large and no FI).
No. I am changing my mind.
For $80K I will pick up a Z06 and modify it with the balance.

Well, a V35 Skyline costs $27k in the US, that's around the same price as a RX-8. IMO that's not too expensive. btw: a R34 GT-R can be had for around $40k shipped to the US. The only problem is with registration and legalizing the car. If you just want a Skyline as a track only car, you can have one around $40k.
