I must admit, that is one of the only non-cheesy flame jobs I have ever seen, I actually like it. I myself have been soured on Ford products *thank you explorer and mustang*. an Evo with the same money in it would destroy a focus, plus it won't look as stupid. Good luck on the project.

I own a Focus SVT. The new 2.3L engine actually does have some potential. It's a PZEV (partial zero emissions vehicle) and has a very restrictive intake. I've seen low 14s with bolt-ons. The 2.3 doesn't have any forced induction kits yet because it is so new.
There is no SVT Focus for 2005. There's no SVT anything for 2005! There is however a Focus ZX4 ST. The ST stands for street tuned. It has the SVT suspension with the 2.3L motor that isn't available on the SVT.
If you get a Zetec equipped focus you'll have plenty of aftermarket parts to choose from. If you're serious about the V8 swap you might want to look into the one offered by Ford. It's a 5.0 crate motor. Parts alone, at retail value, are around $20,000.
A V8 rwd focus won't handle like a rally car!

that is pretty cool and im not gonna say i wouldnt drive it if someone gave it to me but at the end of the day when you park it in the garage its still a focus. if you are gonna stick with ford why not get a lightning or the new mustang?
i do understand when you say you want to make a car instead of buy one...i am going to be beginning that quest soon. why not go with a kit car? you could get a K1 attack and put in an s2k engine for the same cost as this focus and that would be so much funner.

Ahh yes. The Focus "RS8". Don't worry. When I had mine I planned for a 2.5L Duratech or 3.0L Duratech swap. I love the sound of the 2.5 when the secondaries open.
The new 2.3 for the Focus is very sweet. On par with the SVT especially witht he zx4 ST. Makes you wish the rumors of a turbo version of the ST to be released whenever SVT starts backup with their project....yeah. Otherwise the 2.3 folks can give thanks to Cosworth and their est 100hp turbo ready rebuild.
Sorry for ramblin. Formula- I like the Focus RS, the ST170 and the Reiger fronts much better. Take a look at those if you haven't.

Yep, I know all that, used to own a Focus. I just meant the front bumpers/lip vs the one in the picture he posted.
edit- Not to imply that all current and previous Focus owners would know that because they don't

Ahhhh misread that, thought you were talking about the cars not the bumper/lip. I appologize for my poor reading comprehension skills
