Definitely, their straight line speed would be enough to give them a huge advantage, and the down force (rear wing) is decreased this year, this will only make them faster. Also they can double stint their tires and Audi can't (yet).
Hopefully they don't waste anytime in the pit stops

No prob! I was so mad though, the Caddies didn't run in the speed world challenge and the Gallardo GTR just sat in the paddocks looking pretty. It was suppose to run as the mechanic verbally told me from there team , so i really don't know what happen?! I was so dissapointed.... , perhaps at St Pete the gallardo will run, still debating if i am going to that race or not knowing that Audi and the Compuserve Corvettes wont be there either.

This car should definitely give Lamborghini, Ferrarri, Saleen, Porsche, Audi, Aston Martin and Corvette a run for there money.

Mazda needs to get there head in the game!
There faster in the straits, they just need to push it harder in the corners and stay focus. This is the third race Acura has shown them up!

2nd and 3rd in class with a 4th and 5th finish overall is actually pretty good. Far better than we've seen from a Mazda in ALMS in a long time. If they can at least keep finishing races, it'll only be a matter of time before they win one.

UPDATE! 24 Hour of Lemans airing on June 13th on speed channel.
In ALMS, Dyson Motorsports almost beat the Lowes Acura at Miller race way, another 2nd and 3rd place finish for them. Every race there getting so close to holding onto 1st position, the Dyson Mazda cars were clearly faster than the Acura, but problems and long pits prevented them from winning again.
On a happier note, Tremblay and the boys claimed another victory at Laguna Seca(Mazda Raceway)! They put up a fine fight and led 3/4 of the race! The #70 car is running the new 09 nose which gave them more downforce on the track, looking at that car in motion you could tell it was sticking to the track better. Congrats to the Speedsource team!
The SpeedSource Castrol Syntec Mazda RX-8 currently sits 18 points from the championship leader. The next round of the Rolex Sports Car Series will take place at Watkins Glen International Raceway for a 6-hour endurance race on June 6th. Catch the action live on SPEED at 2pm EST
