I cant believe im saying this, but today i wish the F1 qualify was not showing during the Rolex endurance race. but then again, this is speed channel, they would of found some reason to put the Rolex 6hurs to a 2 part. any how 69 is in the lead, follow by 70 (which started from pit) and 3rd is another 8 car 30 . oh and 40 car was taken out by a porshce due to porsh having break issues.

70 car got hit early this morning, which caused them to start in the pits. and during 2nd half hte race they had a alternator problem. might be due to the hit they recieved this morning before the race due to repairs before the race.

Actually caught this one from start to finish in Pittsburgh.
The Grand-Am site broadcast revealed the real driver reactions to the changing track conditions.
My DVR is set too so I can watch when I get home.
Conditions were absolutely wicked, Porsches usually do well in heavy weather racing.
Congrats to our teams for surviving the chaos, Speedsource still only 30-some points behind, lots of time to make up.
Back to Daytona next, we should smoke them like last year...

Mid-Ohio was WET. I'm not sure I've ever been quite as soaked without actually being IN the shower. Still, despite the fact that perhaps 75% of the race took place under full course caution, it was still a fun time. Several of the local folks took off early when the temperature dropped what felt like about 40 degrees in a span of about 10 minutes.
LOTS of spinouts...and Nick Ham made a fantastic save when he went off track into China Beach (massive gravel trap). He just put his foot down and plowed through it. I doubt he'd have been able to do that if the gravel/sand wasn't so completely saturated with rain. 7th place! Not too shabby, though if they could have stayed on track (they went off at least twice that we could see where we were sitting) they might have had a podium finish. Still finished ahead of Banner Racing though, so the championship points gap should be shrinking a bit.

Okay guys, my turn for the reminder...
Don't forget: Brumos Porsche 250 (@Daytona) Thursday night, 8:00PM, Speed Channel. Race is 250 Miles or 2 Hours, 45 Min.
Nick & Sylvain won last year, Hope to see both Speedsource cars at the podium this year. The Mazdas are always strong runners at Daytona, don't know if it's the salty breezes or the track, just hoping that the rains hold off until the 4th... always rains on the 4th down there!

Oh man, what a race!!
I hope that you guys didn't miss this one.
I was heartbroken to see a Mazda 1-2 finish go into the wind with some more Mazda-beating by DP cars that are not even in the running...
Anyway, congrats to Speedsource again on a win that proves that we own the keys to Daytona in GT Class. Also, a congrats to Jeff Segal for hanging in there, hope you're alright- I was cheering you on!

Not sure who was at fault for the #69 wreck, but I have to think the fault is on the DP driver. Jeff Segal clearly saw he was there and was attempting to go high on the track to get out of his way, but the DP driver kept his foot in it, rather than backing off and going low...the tard in the DP wasn't even in any position to win. I swear...those Speedsource cars are like idiot magnets. For those who didn't see it, the #69 crash occurred with TWO laps left.

Suck. Jeff...if you check in here, I hope you're OK. Go Speedsource! Also, Patrick Dempsey took the first stint in the Hypersport RX8 and managed to make his way up to 10th place before handing the car over to his co-driver...think they finished 14th. The Racer's Edge RX8 got absolutely NAILED after a spin, did not finish.

It is typical for the GT cars to take the low lane, on the banking, and the DP to take the high lane. The #69 car drifted up into the path of the DP car. The only issue I have with the actions of the DP car is he didn't back off once the #69 car was sideways. He continued to push him (sideways) until he rolled down out of his way.
