J.C. France (of the NASCAR Frances) Arrested for DUI, Cocaine Possession After Street Race
October 9, 2009 at 10:06 am by David Gluckman
J.C. France is a successful racer of Porsches in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Daytona Prototype series, but it’s the result of a street race against a Porsche that has him in some trouble with the law. France was racing a 2007 Lamborghini against a friend in a Porsche Cayenne when the two were pulled over and cited for DUI and cocaine possession. The Cayenne driver was Russell Van Richmond, who also shares a million-dollar home with France. There’s no word on who won, although we have to believe the Lambo would get the edge on a Cayenne, which leaves us wondering how high they must have been to consider such a matchup worthwhile.
France has subsequently been suspended for Saturday’s season-ending race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. What’s worse, he was expected to receive, for the second straight year, the Jim Trueman Sportsman Award. Oh, and did we mention it’s NASCAR, the racing conglomerate run by France’s cousin Brian, that suspended him? Thanksgiving may be awkward this year.

There has been too many contacts lately in the past few races...
I kind of liked what #69 did when it was spun by the #07. Although the #69 might be at fault, the Mazdas have been bumped around by the Pontiacs + Farnbachers way too much this year. I can only be calm when we're battling with the #66, cause you know Andy Lally is a good driver and won't bump around.
Also, the BMW M6 caused way too many cautions.

It was hot but worth the heat to be there as always.

What the heck was that DP doing on that restart? It was obviously out of the race and was slower that the GT leaders yet he stayed on line and even seemed to slow down on that turn. Liddell looked like he just pushed the guy out of the way but I'm not surr he had any choice.
Horrible when crappy DP drivers ruin the entire GT and DP finishes.

December Test days Video.
The new cars are reported to have exhaust exit at the rear. I spot a re-designed front end with the area around the brake ducts blocked off to lower drag most likely.

They're 100% gone from any racing, and business.
The shop got shut down, employees left and are working for other teams, drivers got drives elsewhere (some), probably Loles fled the country. I think from another forum, someone mentioned he owes people in the race industry a lot more money than the church fraud.

I like Dirk too, he's gonna stay dedicated to Porsche, whatever the case.
Leh Keen has potential, but he drives bumper car style and will run over a Mazda if he has to.
They have cheated so much that I figured it was gonna catch up with them eventually. They were the main ones to complain when the Mazdas would rip their a$$es deep in the straights and brought about the stupid rev limit issue.

And guess what,
That driver you mentioned who had the most complaints against Mazda will be driving in a RX-8 for Patrick Dempsey!
Dempsey racing will field 2 RX-8s this year. No. 40 and No.41.
Leh Keen will be driving the No.41 with James Gu? from the Koni GS series.

There will be so many RX-8s this coming year. I am excited
2 Speedsource
2 Sahlen Racing
2 Dempsey Racing
1 Racer's Edge
Hopefully Speedsource can handle all the building! They are building 3 new chassis this year.
