Yep it's time for FOTA to break away whether Moseley stays or not. That should send a clear message to the FIA. It would also get Bernie out of the picture. Here's hoping that FOTA splits and becomes the New F1 to leave the old to slowly rot and die. If FOTA does create a new series, it'll come back to the US!

Some better news,

http://www.motorsport.com/news/article.asp?ID=334193:F1

Virgin to Manor, YouTube to US F1?

....., YouTube co-founder American Chad Hurley was also at Silverstone, reportedly putting the finishing touches on a deal with the new US F1 team.

As the Team US F1 plans speed along, team co-founder Peter Windsor was stepped down from his role interviewing the drivers in the official post-qualifying and race press conferences, replaced by former ITV commentator James Allen.

Ferrari to confirm Alonso at Monza - report

By Motorsport.com/GMM http://www.motorsport.com/news/article.asp?ID=334742:F1

September 11 2009 could be the date on which Fernando Alonso is revealed as a Ferrari driver for the next five Formula One seasons.
The Spanish newspaper Diario AS claims that the sport's best-known secret may already be scheduled for official confirmation on the Friday of the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
The report believes Ferrari has not decided which of the team's contracted 2010 drivers, Felipe Massa or Kimi Raikkonen, will be ushered aside to make room for the former double world champion, who currently races for Renault.
AS said Ferrari intends to hold its major end-of-season event at Valencia in November, not only to welcome Alonso, 27, to the team, but also its new 2010 Spanish sponsor Santander.
The report said Alonso could be the "surprise guest" at the event, but would have to wear casual clothes because of his Renault contract through December 31.

Raikkonen to contest Rally Finland

By Motorsport.com/GMM http://www.motorsport.com/news/article.asp?ID=334677:F1

]Kimi Raikkonen will shortly step up his foray into the world of professional rallying.
After recently contesting three minor events in Finland and Italy, the 2007 world champion and Ferrari driver has now signed up for Finland's round of the World Rally Championship at the end of July.
The 29-year-old Finn will again be at the wheel of his Tommi Makinen-prepared Fiat Abarthe Grande Punto S2000, with Kaj Lindstrom alongside.
"It's always a great rally and for Kimi it's of course an even bigger thing because this is his first time," Lindstrom told the Finnish tabloid Iltalehti.
"It's one of the world's fastest rallies and double the length of for example the Arctic rally," he added.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Will Alonso be replacing Raikkonen and Kimi start rally racing?

i really think Kimi is the person who will be leaving Ferrari. for the past 2 years, he has been doing alot of rallying. also since teh fins are known for their rallying skills, i think he will be heading that direction.

even though i make fun of the ferrari drivers every chance i get, i actually like kimi. he is one of my favs under hamilton.

Awesome news... My favorite driver going to my favorite team under FIA cough cough.."Ferrari" cough... rules...

It can't get better than that.

Massa, my number 2 favorite driver will stay at Ferrari... so long Kimi... so long and good luck in rallying

We'll go back to the Senna-Prost era and this IS a step forward.

I don't think he uses lipstick. But, I do wonder how many hours he spends looking at himself in the mirror daily.

Funny guys... Well by using this premise then Ron Dennis's cheeks are full of Hamilton's lipstick... right?

Just get over this guys... why can't you accept that the best 2 drivers in F1 are going to be together in the best team of F1?

I really really hope the rumors are true... heck I'll even buy you guys beer...

Now if Danica joins F1, heck I'll even host an F1 party at my house!

Carlos

Alfy may make it there. He's relatively close. It's a 2000 mile round trip drive for me. If Danica gets the seat, I would be too sick to make the trip anyway.

Hey, she could kick out some other drivers that are there for reason other than talent. Piquet JR comes to mind quickly.

I assume you mean Massa and Alonso. Alonso I can understand, he is awesome. But how can you even consider Massa among the best after his rain performance Silverstone 2008. He spun like 9 times and was lapped by almost all other drivers in the field. Heck, Hamilton might even have lapped him twice in that race.

Yes Massa has a good races too, but seriously that was a pathetic performance. Someone who can slump down that low cannot seriously be called the best in F1. Come on, thats just stupid.

Danica isn't a bad driver. I have no idea why she gets so much flak other than the fact that she's hot and has a temper. She's consistently better than many drivers.

If this is the case then, what about Hamilton in that abysmal race he had in the rain as well early this year? Common... Everybody has bad days...even Schumacher did...Ayrton did...Prost did... that doesn't mean they are bad drivers...in fact nobody in my book will top Senna's talent... and that Mr can't be argued here.

Massa lost the championship last year due to unreliablity of the car and "Mr Glock"'s action in the last corner... and we all know that... of course this is set to be discussed and we all have different opinions...but it's plain stupid to say a driver is not one of the best because he/she had a bad day...

lol the difference between hamilton and massa is. massa cant drive well in the rain, where hamilton pushes his car as if the road is n ot wet. only dilusional ferrari fan's cant see that now Kimi and alonso can drive awesome in the rain.

i have to much pride. no way in hell i would party with ferrari fans.

also like their fans, ferrari assumes to much.

1. they assumed massa won last year,
2. they assumed massa made it thru q1, so they pitted.
3. they assumed kimi made it thru q1, so they pitted.

4. what will be their next assumption? lets predict

You call that pushing? so what happens when he never makes pass Q1... I guess he was pushing too much ah?? Common we all know Kimi, Alonso and Vettel are awesome in the rain... and I'll admit even Hamilton is good... but to say that Massa is not as good is being plain square minded...

Yes but we have lots of CLASS... and this is why I even invited non Ferrari fans... We don't feel threatened by them at all...

My next assumption will be that Ferrari will win the championship next year...

i take it, you must watch Q's with the sound turned off. because they always mentioned the car has no grip due to the rear. so really its not the driver not pushing hard, its the car they are in. and i will admit that mclaren screwed up this year and i am dissapointed. but hey 2010 i feel they will be back on top again. i feel they will destroy ferrari (which isnt to hard, their cars cant even finish the race most of the time (jk) ).

also you m ust watch the races on mute. because when it rains, the announcers get scared for massa, because he cant drive well in the rain. now its not our fault that ferrari fans watch races with no sound, in fact they are missing out on the awesome sounds of engines driving by.

and wont comment about your prediction, because i dont want you have to a bad 4th of july weekend. you can thank me later
