I am afraid both Red Bull and especially Ferrari have a lot more speed. We will see the pace tomorrow on the practice. Ferrari have the habit of testing race pace during Friday, not qualifier pace.
Gonna be a good qualifier though. I think Hamilton will get to Q3 this time ;) |
whoooopssss ferrari
but no seriously wtf alonso hamilton massa = P19 P20 P21 seriously wtf happened??! |
They under estimated the rain by the time they figured out they needed the full wet tires it was too late. Jenson got very lucky to make it past Q1
|
Yeah and Jenson still gravel-pitted his car after that so he could not participate in Q2 anyways.
Disappointing, but will make for an exciting race with a big group of the fast pack starting in the back. |

MSC in Q3:
Too slow, too old, destroyed by Rosberg... Before he had been 0.5 seconds slower than Rosberg on the trainings. This time he was down to 0.2 seconds and finally on the third practice he was actually faster than Rosberg. 5 3 Michael Schumacher Mercedes GP 1:33.992 0.450 15 6 4 Nico Rosberg Mercedes GP 1:34.090 0.548 13 I was hoping that the old Schumi finally would step through, but we might have to wait a bit longer. I really hope this comeback won't fail. |
Goig to be an exciting race tomorrow. To see the ferrari and mclaren , race up past the slow cars.
Also even though I made fun of MS. , last year and at the beginning of this year, I hope he really does good in tomorrow race. |

Which is weird, because on the training times it looked like Schumi was catching up to Rosberg.

I really hope this comeback won't fail. He got beaten by Rosberg by a second in Q3, which is quite a lot. He looked pretty comfortable in the car this weekend, from what i could tell on the TV during Qualifying, unlike at Bahrain and Melborune. Also Q3 was done in the wets with full wet tires on, and he was a master at driving in the wet condition. Its fair to say that he'll need more time to show what he has got, but I think Heidfield could've done the same or better with that very fast car. I want him to be faster, which will make the racing at the front more exciting. ________ Asian live |
Could anyone confirmed if they heard the commentators say during Qualifying that the tires on Hamilton's car(1st set of softs) would not have lasted in Melbourne, while Button's tires had about 2 laps left in them after he won the race. I believe Bridgestone made that comment.

Well deserved pole, brilliant drive!

holy lap 5, and hamilton left both massa and alonso in the dust lol
|
Alonso is doing good for a car that a cant find gears lol. yes polo, i am giving props to alonso right now lol
|
Nice overtake from Alguersuari :)
|
Another reason why rotary engines are a better fit for racing... over revving doesn't lead to connection rods explosion :p
Poor Alonso, nice duel anyway. |
man that was a pretty good race. big props to alonso for holding really well, with a car that wasnt giving 100 percent. sutil did an awesome job holding back the messiah :). hamilton to me owned the track lol, he was just flying
|
I loved how Massa handled the race as well, he's a nice guy on and off the track.
Apparently Hamilton still lacks the experience that is needed to overtake in harsh conditions and Sutil did a good job of holding him down while Hamilton abused his tyres. More experienced drivers like Alonso and Massa took their time and cooled the engine and the tyres down every now and then, that's why they were still able to push the car at the end of the race. Button really showed the gentleman that he is too and didn't take risks while Alonso and Massa tried to overtake him, that was very polite of him. |
This race shows again that faster cars cannot overtake slower cars in the dry.
Alonso drove an awesome race with a broken Ferrari. Poor results for Williams considering the strong qualifying, Rubens gets stuck at the start more than once every year, and he drove really slow for the rest. Good race by Rosberg, wheel nut fell off for MSC? Good drives by Red Bull, Toro Rosso and most Kubica. Good overtake by Massa on Button.......... but I hope he doesn't go in front of Alonso in future races, because he is really slowing him down! Overall........... quite a boring race............ ________ Cheap glass pipes |
I found it quite exciting. Hamilton's dash through the field was nice to watch. Massa, Alonso and Button opted for the strategic approach instead, using other peoples pit stops and their own to make certain they were not held up in traffic.
Obviously both methods worked fine, but Hamilton got a reward by being first of the Q1 drop-outs. Big grats to Vettel who finally got the position he deserved in a race this year. He is driving a supreme car with extreme skill. Had the material been more reliable Vettel would have had 75 points today. I am glad for the excitement of the championship that it is much more even in the table. Finally I really feel sorry for Alonso. An engine failure when it is two laps to go really sucks. Massa should know how his teammate feels, having had an engine failure when it was 3 laps back. Hehe Ferrari and their engines ;) |
Big props to Alonso for driving like he did without a clutch!
http://en.espnf1.com/f1/motorsport/story/13632.html He literally forced the gear to engage using the throttle. It is extremely impressive that he drove the entire race without the clutch and still was competitive. |

On another note, look at this piece of art! http://i42.tinypic.com/2mi42yp.jpg It is the back of the Renault, I really hope they'll win some races this year. I enjoyed when Petrov fought back against Hamilton and surprised him with a pass. They are going to get some engine upgrades, and with more front end aero tweaks i believe they can contend for the podium every race. ________ Homemade vaporizors |
