For those who hadn't seen what happened to Buemi.

Paul.

If I were in the car the team radio would be something along the lines of a long series of BEEEEEPS. Did they discover what really happened?

alnielsen 04-16-2010 06:52 PM

The team tried a new material in making the the front suspension. The material failed. He missed Practice #2 as they tried to put the front of the car back together with the older spec components.

alfy28 04-16-2010 11:23 PM

man the vid that maz posted, was like watching some test pilot test how far they can go, until things blow up. glad buemi is ok

mike1324a 04-16-2010 11:53 PM

I would bet that the suspension failure is a result of a new ride hight adjustment system like is rumored to be on the red bull.

dezau 04-17-2010 01:56 AM

^ nah i doubt it, the FIA clearly stated any ride height controlling system is illegal as stated in the books

alfy28 04-17-2010 02:21 AM

i have to admit, horner comment on the radio was pretty funny, even though it was towards my fav team lol.

dezau 04-17-2010 12:04 PM

^ which was?

True, but such a system is only illegal if they are caught. To be caught the FIA would likely need to know how such a system works. Nearly every team swears that Red Bull have a system and there seems to be evidence in differeing ride heights in the form of pictures. Where there is smoke there is fire in F1. However, everyone is boggled as to how they would get away with it which means its well hidden and or complex and thus the FIA cant nail them until its more understood. I am of the impression, as is most gurus at f1technical.net, that such a system is being implemented somehow and Im sure other teams are experimenting as well. Im sure its a loop hole in the regs or something. We will know soon enough as technical secrets dont last too long in F1

alfy28 04-18-2010 02:14 AM

lol polo is going to be pissed lol

alnielsen 04-18-2010 02:15 AM

Yes, he will. Alonso was a bad boy. I did a slo-mo frame by frame on my dvr. He did jump it.

alnielsen 04-18-2010 02:17 AM

Now Hamilton was a bad boy.

ah, i was like Hamiton wtf are you doing. just let vettle pass you . no need to take chances with stewards lol. i dont care vettle though, hate when he screams in the radio when he makes poll and wins a race.

dezau 04-18-2010 02:55 AM

how the f are these guys getting around the track in this rain with the slicks...
lol i'm getting so many free posts tonight
whoohoooo hamy P4!

-edit-
i agree to whoever said to add sprinklers along the f1 tracks... rain is making this very interesting lol
&
i don't get how Mazda is advertising the zoom zoom by showing speedsource winning the rolex race but they never actually put in any marketing efforts into the RX-8s
and funny how they promote reliability on the cars in rolex
