DAMN he did a lot of catch up on the second lap (i would guess 2-3 tenths of a second catchup). NICE DRIVING KIMI *screams hysterically like a 14 year old girl*

Just thought I should explain a bit about this type of track if someone is new to see this. It looks like they are driving 4 laps, but they aren't The tracks are crossed with a bridge and therefore there is an outer circuit and an inner circuit.

Kimi starts on the longer outer circuit so the first time the cross the finish line (a quarter of the race done) he looks hopelessly behind. However the second time is the first time you can benchmark them against each other and there Ken is 2 tenths of a second in the lead. And after one more whole lap you can once more gauge them against each other when they cross the finish line. Which Kimi crosses first! Go KIMI!

What, your no longer calling him a drunken lout? I could go back and pull quotes from you and some of the unwarrented criticism that you have given him in the past.
In the video, he beat Ken Block. A talented, but new part-time WRC driver. Has Ken even placed in the points this year? Kimi rallies full time for the past two seasons and is a former top F1 driver. He should have won.

Me wishing him back, doesnt change my opinion when i stated he wasa drunk during the 07-08 season. I can not deny that he is a excellent driver , aslo i felt he was bored and needed a break from it. I think he hungers for F1 now.

So yes you can quote me if like, but never said i denied those claims.

That was more like X-games driving than rally though. Something Ken Block is really good at. Although apparently Kimi is really good at it too.

Here's a Youtube version (Until removed). It shows that Lewis was told to conserve fuel and that both cars are receiving the same instruction. He then points out to the team the Jenson is closing in and asks "If I back off, will Jenson pass me?" and is told "No" by the team, only to have Jenson pass him.

Hmmm, the potential conspiracies!

Interesting! After watching that review, I finally realize why Lewis appeared to be unhappy when he was standing on the podium. When I was watching the BBC coverage of the race, I didn't catch the part where Lewis was asking his team if his team mate would catch him if he went into fuel saving mode. This brings a clearer picture as to why he looked unlike his usual self when taking a victory.

It is illegal, but teams have coded messages to allow them to bypass that rule. It could be anything like telling their driver to 'conserve fuel' or adjusting something on their steering wheel or a key word in a message.

I knew that... I was just wondering why they didn't at least reproach mclaren for doing so
I don't want to bash mclaren but the situation. Apparently if you break the rules but keep the show interesting then they don't give a f*ck!
Massa and webber apparently went over the pit lane after the pit stops but they were amended (especially massa) because that was maneuvre was not intentional, then we have mclaren giving fairly explicit team orders etc.
I don't really like the way this franchise is going, too much politics and too much laws.

I wonder if if this is the reason why Hamilton is lashing out on this team. In the monaco highlights you can hear Hamilton saying, Do you guys want me to race or what? (not sure the exact quote, but close to it)

But i feel that hamilton is strong, he will push the best he can.

LMAO, I remember last year when Alonso was saying how high and mighty Ferrari was going to be, and that his dream was to race in the fastest cars in F1. Guess Ferrari can't deliver any more.

Fernando Alonso thinks Ferrari has been left behind by its rivals in the 2010 development race.

The Spaniard won his first race with the famous Maranello based team this season, raising hopes that Ferrari was set to cast off its miserable 2009 campaign with a strong challenge for the world championship.

But after a particularly weak showing in Turkey recently, Alonso is quoted by the latest edition of France's Auto Hebdo: "The F10 has not changed since the Chinese grand prix.

"Apart from the blown wing (F-duct), which has not delivered everything that we expected, and has monopolised the efforts of the aero engineers, there has been nothing new.

"Except in Bahrain, we have been only defending, not attacking.

"I hope things will go better from Valencia, where the F10 should appear in a very advanced B specification.

"We are putting everything into this programme, knowing that the gap between us and Red Bull and McLaren is wide," added the 28-year-old.

His teammate Felipe Massa, meanwhile, is quoted as suggesting the long straights and slow corners in Montreal this weekend should prove a happier hunting-ground for the F10.

I'm not sure I saw any team orders being given, regarding driver positions but rather an instruction to one driver that stated that the other driver was being told the same thing. The question "Will Jenson pass me?" may hint at orders but I don't think indicates that they told Jenson what to do regarding that.

I have seen the terrible offenses in this regard from some other teams that I will not mention at this time, with drivers slowing down to a crawl for their team mate to pass them.

Don't listen to the reports of what drivers say. That report is contradicted by this one.
Alonso: Ferrari can out-develop rivals

Would somebody please give Vettle back his Kent Doll I feel he is about to cry us a freaking river.

I am very glad for vettle that he think he was not at fault, but in the world we call Planet Earth, shows vettle crashing into Webber.

Sebastian Vettel on Monday refused to accept the blame for his crash with Red Bull teammate Mark Webber during the recent Turkish grand prix.

Despite team bosses no longer pointing their fingers at Australian Webber in the wake of a clear-the-air meeting last Thursday, 22-year-old Vettel said he thinks he was in the right on lap 40.

"You do at the time what you think is right, and in that case you would do it again because you thought it was right," he said in an interview with the BBC.

"I had already passed Mark and then tried to come slowly back to the right. At that time I was the leading car and then usually the leader dictates where to go.

"We made contact and that was the end of the race for me," said Vettel, now fifth in the championship and 15 points behind title leader Webber.

After emerging from his stricken RB6 at Istanbul Park, Vettel wiggled his right index finger around his ear, suggesting he thought Webber had acted crazily.

But on Monday, he refused to confirm the intent.

"I think it was pretty clear at the time. I don't think it was a crazy sign. I think it's very common. I think everyone understood," he said.

Ferrari comes to mind when Barrichello was ordered to let Slugmacher pass.
The problem is not the orders behind the question "will X pass me?" but the fact that it should not even be a question! Heck ANY driver will pass you if it's faster!
This is what hints at team orders imho and this refuelling bullshit gave another great excuse to use coded orders

OR

Hamilton was not sure how much slower he would be in fuel saving mode and wanted to know if, based on current lap times, if his time would degrade enough that Jenson would pass him at his current pace.

I'd see Hamilton asking the same question if Alonso and Massa were behind him. And probably getting the same answer.

Interesting isn't it...

All the Vision I have seen CLEARLY shows Webber did not Move his steering wheel at all while Pittel was trying to pass him.

And NO Vessel was not CLEAR of Mark Webber, IF he was Clear there would have been NO Accident, Mettel's rear tire would not of hit Webber's car.

Is this KID Just STUPID and Blind or Both.

Kettel is a Typical young arrogant crout.

Funny, I took it that Sebs 'Finger Wiggle' was to show how Dumb his move was and how stupid he was.

BTW, Webber has been signed for another Year with RBR, so Both Drivers contracts expire on the same year...end 2011 season.

Ya, I read the same thing. It's funny that the blame isn't being put on Vettel by the team. They must just be trying not to make any waves between the two drivers.

The fact that Webber fought back so fiercely costed him points and Red Bull even more. You should have more margin when battling your teammate. I understand why he did it but Vettel did an aggressive passing move and Webber should have taken it with a bit more margin instead of forcing Vettel as far out to the left as he did.

The facts are:
1. Vettel had to make a passing attempt or be passed by Hamilton.
2. Webber did not have to close Vettel so far to the left.

Result: Crash.

Seems pretty straight forward to me what happened. Vettel ran into Webber thinking he had more room, but Webber had not given him that room. Between any other drivers that would be fine but between teammates there should be given more room, and hence I find Webber should have avoided the accident. Really simple.
