Well then why didn't we hear the radio transmission from pit crew telling alonso that he didn't make a mistake? Since you know they play all radio chat live now. DId they use some person in the crowd to use flash lights to relay this message to alonso? We have seen how the Italian media likes to manipulate. If you are using them as actual fact then

I am so glad that Webber is not bending over for his team. I think that is Twice this season that Webber is proving to his team that it should be 50/50 for both drivers. Not sure why Horner insist on favoring one driver.

The precedent was set at Spa (Raikkonen vs Hamilton). That much should have been evident to Alonso. In a twist of irony, it took them almost the same amount of time to act as Valencia and handed down the same penalty. Ouch. I think it was a bit much, especially since Kubica's race was already over, but I guess the message to Alonso/Ferrari was clear: STFU and race. Leave the politics and bs off the track. Judging by Alonso's comments after the race, I guess his reply was a loud "10-4".

I think this was a lot clearer drive through than the one Hamilton got at spa 2008. Here Alonso passed when cutting the corner. At spa Hamilton cut the corner in the last turn and passed Raikkonen after the entire straight in the first corner.
Back then Ferrari gained a lot by it since Massa inherited the win. Now the same rule bit Ferrari in the ****. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

Fantastic Drive By Webber..fantastic Win, as he said, "not bad for a 2nd team driver."
The start was a Classic, I laughed when I saw Vettel go off track, what a little **** he is, tried to PIN Webber into the wall at the start because he did not like getting the same treatment back.
Good on you Mark Webber, you put that child back where he should be.
A great drive though by Vettel to be last and finish where he did, albeit with the aid of the ONLY safety car at about half distance.
Great race too by Hamilton, he just could not catch Webber, and Nico coming 3rd was good for MB....Ferraris had bad luck as usual..

Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali said the team had checked with race control whether they felt Alonso had broken the rules and should give the place back.

Even though I was hoping that Kubica would finish 3rd place, seeing him pull into the pits made alonso punish even better for me. I couldn't stop laughing, serving a drive through penatly for a car that is not even the on the track any more.
Reading the F1 forums from japanese sites and english sites, i cant help but laugh at the comments I have read. Such as " I feel sorry for Ferrar due to bad luck" well the way I put it is, its called Karma. Ferrari came in this season full wtih arrogance, and their leaving this season with their tail up their *****.
Glad the new teams haven't pointed out Ferrari and their comments.

Just like McLaren called the tower to ask if they should give back the place to Trulli when Hamilton passed him when Trulli was off track during the safety car.
Then the tower delayed and unlike Ferrari who keep the position McLaren ordered Hamilton to give the position back, which he did.
And then the tower comes back with the message: You don't have to give back the position.
Ah what a frigging mess that was.

Agreed. I also want to forget about it. A very bad day to be a Hamilton fan. Heck the only worse thing that day was to be Hamilton himself 
But I really liked what Alonso said after the race that what the stewards say is right and he will abide by their decision. It seems he got the point that it is time to stop whining and go racing instead.
I look forward to see Alonso race the rest of the season. Because really we need him up in the top to challenge the bulls when the silver champions are out of form.

Nick Heidfeld has backed the stewards' decision to penalise Fernando Alonso at Silverstone, adding that the only judgement error was made by the Spaniard and Ferrari.
The BBC announced that Alonso was too angry to be interviewed after the British grand prix, where a drive-through penalty ruined his race.
The penalty, within memory of the team's furious reaction to the events at Valencia two weeks ago, was applied after Alonso overtook Robert Kubica on the grass.
Alonso and Ferrari elected not to immediately give the place back to the Pole, and by the time the race director had answered their query, Kubica had retired.
And by the time Alonso had to serve a drive-through penalty, the safety car had bunched up the field and he lost many race positions.
Alonso's comments to Spanish media immediately after the race were interpreted by some as highly sarcastic: "I accept everything they (the stewards) do."
Team boss Stefano Domenicali elaborated: "We feel that it is very harsh."
In a statement, Alonso added: "I do not wish to comment on the stewards' decision."
In Spanish reports, he also said: "If there had been a wall instead of grass, surely Kubica would be penalised. The team told me that he had touched me, very clearly.
"They told me that in the replay he had not left me any space, so I can't become invisible, I had to go to the grass."
However, asked if he thought the penalty was unfair, Alonso smiled: "No, (the stewards are) always fair."
To Italian television RAI, he added merely: "The stewards are our referees."
Domenicali said Ferrari needed to wait for the FIA's clarification about whether Alonso should give back the place, "otherwise we would be accused of being not aggressive enough".
To German television Sky, Mercedes reserve driver Heidfeld commented: "You can only discuss whether a penalty is due or not. I say (in this case) yes."
He thinks Alonso should have voluntarily given the place back to Kubica, negating the stewards' inquiry.
"It was clear that the matter would be investigated. If he got a penalty, he is out of the race, and that's what happened. If he had let Kubica re-pass, he loses a place but then he can just try again.

With the expansion of the number of teams the top & middle tier numbers have staid the same. The bottom tier has expanded. The difference being the way points are handed out. It is easier for the bottom to get 1 or 2 points at the end of a race depending on the mechanical reliability of their cars on that weekend.

With the expansion of the number of teams the top & middle tier numbers have staid the same. The bottom tier has expanded. The difference being the way points are handed out. It is easier for the bottom to get 1 or 2 points at the end of a race depending on the mechanical reliability of their cars on that weekend.

The chances of getting several teams in the top is very slim indeed. And even if they are tightly packed in the start the development pace will differ, which will of course single out one or two cars as the fastest of the pack.
From a fanboi perspective I must say I rather see the McLaren car fast than the Ferrari.

Thanks Alfy... Actually, I am from Ecuador, SouthAmerica but I LOVE World Cup Soccer (Futbol) even more than F1 racing and if a southamerican team is not in the final, I will root for our "mother country"
and in this case, we all were rooting for Spain...Awesome win...
Now back to regular programming... lol lol... Now my italian blood is really boiling... lol common Ferrari...

No but seriously great win from Spain. Clearly the better team in the final although Holland did have some seriously dangerous chances too (like Robben getting free with the goalie)
And Polo, there is an Alonso in the Spanish football team too. So Alonso and Spain wins the World Cup! That headline ought to cheer you up!
Oh and by the way. Football is as the name indicates played with the feet. If you want to pick up the ball and run with it and then make a big man-pile over the ball... well we could call it man-pile-ball
