Ok found it on youtube:

Seriously I doubt this is more than a driver error. We see the same error with the force india behind, however not as far overshooting. But it should have been penalized though, but as a cheat it is lame as hell. I mean the chance for pay-off is minimal and the chance for exposure maximal.

The proper way to stage the grid box is the front tires can not touch or be ahead of the white lines. Anything in front of the wheels (ie. the nose/wing) can. Each car is carefully monitored with sensors as it stages the box to make sure no one is able to get an unfair advantage. For whatever reason, the stewards were unable to pick up on that.

It's funny; I've seen Lewis screw up, I've seen him ill treated, embarrassed, humiliated and defeated but never come off acting as pissed as Vettel while taking a podium finish no less. The stewards should have given him a further penalty for the disrespectful gestures during the drive through.
Paul.
Paul.
Yah hamilton just smiles the screw up away it seems. Even if he was like leading the race and came in 2nd or 3rd, he just keeps smiling.

UPDATE
http://www.worldcarfans.com/11009012...elgian-gp-grid
Felipe Massa escaped penalty despite clearly getting a head-start in last Sunday's Belgian grand prix.
Before the five red lights went out at Spa-Francorchamps, BBC commentator Martin Brundle observed that the Ferrari was about "two metres" ahead of its starting area on the grid.
A spectator's amateur footage, posted on video sharing website Youtube, now supports Brundle's observation, but the Brazilian was not penalised by the stewards.
Germany's Auto Motor und Sport said Massa, who finished the race in fourth place, was "at least 1 metre" ahead of his grid box.
Ferrari's post-race press release mentions neither Massa's grid error or the fact that he made up two early positions once the race had started.
The German report speculated that if FIA officials, or any of his competitors, had noticed the incident, Massa would probably have received a drive-through penalty.
Sensors in the grid boxes are supposed to ensure the cars' correct positioning as well as whether the competitor made a jump-start.

US GP reveals Austin track layout
The team behind the new United States Grand Prix venue in Austin, Texas have revealed the track layout for the circuit that will host the race.
Designed by F1 track architect Hermann Tilke, the 3.4-mile course features over 20 corners and substantial elevation changes. A statement from the US GP organisers said the circuit "combines modern features with details reminiscent of traditional races from the 1960s."
US GP boss Tavo Hellmund said the intention was to create a track that was both state of the art and inspired by classic F1 venues of the past. In addition to the gradients, the Austin track will feature several sweeping corners as well as the long straights into tight bends that have become synonymous with Tilke's designs.
"In the modern era of grand prix racing, I think this track layout and topography will be very special," said Hellmund.

It will run in counter clock wise. Looks like it will be a horsepower track. That uphill climb to turn 1 will make for an interesting start.

Power!!
I love the elevation changes! Those are my favorite parts of any track I drive. As long as the track is wide enough there should be some excellent passing opportunities

FIA probes undetected Massa grid error
The FIA has launched an investigation into how Felipe Massa was able to start the Belgian Grand Prix ahead of his designated grid slot without detection.
Amateur videos showing the Ferrari driver’s approach to the grid, and subsequent overshoot of his sixth-place grid mark, ahead of the start of last Sunday’s Spa race appeared on YouTube several days after the event – with Massa’s car seen clearly stopping at least one metre ahead of the line where his front wheels should have been.
Massa’s mistake should have resulted in a drive-through penalty for a jump start, but race director Charlie Whiting was unaware of the error after neither track-side marshals nor the electronic automatic jump start system alerted him to the positioning of the Ferrari........

The results of the race are official, so there is nothing that will be done about it, other than working on preventing it in the future.

^^^, Geez...Unbelievable, you cant tell me ALL the "Officials" that "observe" the drivers Pits Stops could not move (walk a few yards) to the Grid Wall and "Observe" the Start and Start Positions "in case" the "sensors" fail to detect a jump or over the line start..
All this is just Basic bloody officiating, good god I was doing this at 18 as an unpaid official at Adelaide International Raceway over 35 years ago..

There are always a dozen or so marshals or officials lining the grid with flags to warn other drivers in case any of the cars have stalled or dangerous situation due to fire. Pretty weird none of them caught it.

I think Japan is the bigges senna fans besides Brazil. I remember the day he died, our whole school gave him a moment of silence. I guess we loved hims so much because he drove for honda (mclaren), but then again we loved him before he even came to honda. I remeber I was in art class in the 12 th grade. The girls in my class were crying and some of my friends were to. It's weird that me and my friend took a bike trip a year before to watch F1 race in japan.

F1 looking at turbo engines for 2013 (everything old is new again - al)
Formula One could see a return to turbo engines and ground effect cars for the 2013 Championship.
With F1 looking to become more environmentally friendly and keep costs to a minimum, the sport has put together several Working Groups to look at various ways that F1 could achieve those aims.
According to Autosport, one idea being discussed is the use of a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo engine that would be handed a power boost through Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems (KERS).

'Most teams' agree outline for F1 of 2013 - report
The outline of F1's new technical direction for 2013 and beyond has been essentially decided.
According to Autosprint's Italian-language auto.it, the sport's cars of the future will feature so-called 'ground effect' aerodynamics and be powered by 1.6 litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engines.
The report said the package has been agreed by the majority of the teams.
A working group, featuring a group of engineers from F1 teams, has been in charge of defining the basic outline of the 2013 regulations, Autosprint said.
The four-cylinder turbo engines will reportedly produce 650 horse power, with drivers to be limited to using just five separate units per season.
Ground-effect aerodynamics, meanwhile, could improve overtaking by having the majority of the downforce generated underneath the car, rather than by the wings and top bodywork which greatly disturb the airflow onto following cars.
The technology was pioneered in F1 in the late 70s, but banned shortly afterwards because while producing immense cornering grip, ground effects made the cars unstable at high speed and relied on 'sliding skirts' that often broke.

------------------------------
"Sliding Skirts" were used on early ground effects cars. They were no longer used, for ground effects, after a few years because of regulations and improvements in technology. I wonder if they will move to the 18" wheels that Pirelli & Michelin wanted. - al
