Most of us don't have that problem, the pope's voice that is. The falling asleep, ya that has happened before.

Massa blames ill fortune for disappointing Sunday

He should blame himself for making a poor decision on trying to make that pass.

I really knew that. David Hobbs said that during the broadcast. What I didn't know was the origination of the phrase (which I looked up).

Man, Massa needs to become captain of the SS Failboat!

RBR dominated like everyone expected them to. Shocking.

Nice to see Alonso in third. Considering Suzuka was perfect for RBR the fact that they didn't absolutely destroy the F10 is a good sign!

Outside of Koba going bonzai on everyone that was a boring *** race. First lap was epic though. lol

Due to Koba, Kubica day was saved

Kamui Kobayashi was the hero of Sunday's Japanese grand prix, enhancing his growing reputation as the launcher of kamikaze overtaking moves.

To the delight of his Japanese fans, the Sauber rookie scythed through the field from fourteenth on the grid to seventh at the finish.

"The way he overtook several competitors was absolutely spectacular," said team CEO Monisha Kaltenborn, standing in as team boss in Japan for the absent Peter Sauber.

The 24-year-old launched audacious moves on Adrian Sutil, Rubens Barrichello and Jaime Alguersuari, but teammate Nick Heidfeld was dispensed rather more easily.

"The team asked me not to make any problems for him," the German is quoted by Swiss newspaper Blick.

The paper's veteran correspondent Roger Benoit asked Kobayashi precisely how many overtaking moves he attempted at Suzuka on Sunday.

"I can't remember," he answered. "I only know that there were crashes all around me at the start, and later I made some contacts with my opponents.

"My car is rather damaged!" he revealed.

Team manager Beat Zehnder explained: "Some deflectors are missing from the car, and the sidepod has a big hole in it. Also a part of the front wing isn't there any more."

Renault's Robert Kubica retired from the race after five minutes with a missing wheel.

Said the Pole: "What Kamui did with his car was super. Because I had to watch on television, he saved my day."

Ecclestone vows to facilitate Porsche F1 return
F1 commercial rights-holder Bernie Ecclestone has vowed to do 'whatever I can' to help support and engineer the return to the grand prix grid of one of the most iconic and evocative names in all of motorsport and automotive history – Porsche.

The last time Porsche featured at the highest level was when the German marque forged an ill-fated partnership with Footwork back in 1991 – a disastrous coupling that yielded no points and seven failures even to qualify over the six races contested, prior to a swift divorce as Footwork ditched Porsche for Hart.

McLaren used Button as 'sacrificial lamb' - Horner
Red Bull has accused McLaren of using Jenson Button as a "sacrificial lamb" in Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix.

It could be seen as simply the latest tit-for-tat exchange of hostilities between the British based teams, but Christian Horner's theory would explain Button's very long first stint at Suzuka on the hard tyre.

The Red Bull team boss hypothesised that McLaren's plan might have been to have Button out of sequence ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton's rivals - including Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber - to slow them down.

I always suspected McLaren was playing favorites with it's equal status drivers.

Schumacher hints at car discrepancy
Michael Schumacher has hinted that his car has not always been on the same performance level as team-mate Nico Rosberg's Mercedes this season. ......
Mercedes' Norbert Haug did not disagree with Schumacher's claims.

"I cannot disagree with Michael. As far as the car is concerned, he is right," Haug told Bild newspaper.

With the team principal agreeing, I guess you can't say he is wining.

Yeah i thought it would fit with both our situations, glad you like it!
As far as this thread goes... it is a perfect environment but you need to wipe off some dust from your photochop skills!

It would be super cool to arrange an f1 meeting in either spa or monza for next year

Because team orders are not allowed, that was Mercedes way of getting Rosburg out of the way and letting Schumy by.

Kobayashi is just like every other Japanese driver in that he's extremely hit or miss. He's either making incredible passes, crashing out, or just being a mid-pack wonder. He's too all over the place and for that reason you'll probably never see him in a top tier car.

Yep I couldnt agree with you more.

but jokes aside, this is his second year . last season he came at the end of the season. His up and downs are remind of me Vets first year. Also If vet can be on a top tier class car ( i mean the guy is all over the place still) then I think Kobo has a good chance to drive for a good team. I think next year will be the year that determines if he can or not, if he keeps doing what he is doing now, I think he has a high chance in 2012 and beyond. But lets just hope the world doesnt end in 2012 :P

Also I have high respect for Kobo, because he doesnt have the financial backing that these newbies are having, especially his next year teammate.
