DRS in Eau Rouge
DRS is activated by the driver. Let the brave use it. I'll bet we see teams use it, through that area, in practice and qualifying.

Senna in for Heidfeld
It has to be money. They couldn't be blaming the poor performance of the car and team on the driver, could they?(/sarcasm)

Damn dude!!! That's awesome If it wasn't raining, do you think you could have gone through that section flat out? And i'm just assuming, due to the rain, you had to lift...or did you??? I'd love to go round that place once..even as a passanger just due to all the history surrounding it...that one is on the bucket list for sure!

I can't believe you'd think such a thing I think Renault has been on the backfoot since Alonso left them the first time

When it dried out... flat out it was! In the wet you had cars spinning and around 70m of visibility only. They stopped some of my sessions because of the rain in the morning. The afternoon was smooth though
Just for comparison: good rx8 drivers with tuned NA rx8s lap a few seconds less than 3:08 on semis. An F1 car can do a lap in 1:45...

Hamilton got schooled by Maldonado after q2 lol.
He hit him at the bus stop chicane ruining his qualifying lap and Maldonado deliberately crashed his car against Lewis' in the next straight.

I'm so glad somebody showed Hamilton that he is not the king of the world.

Maldonado has received a penalty by the stewards for that move.

I know... He did the right thing though!

From this angle it also looks like Hamilton had his part in the clash, yet only a reprimend for him.
Meh.

LONG overdue, acts like his team mate...a GIRL!!...grow some ***** both of you...
and grow up...F1 is not there for one team.

At least Vet appears to be maturing...and even I am warming to him.

Only one or two top F1 drivers have any class.

Unfair of me I know.....BOO!

Interesting race tomorrow...
Alonso will drive like a beast to try and catch up. He has nothing to lose.
Vettel will probably do his own race, as usual. Hamilton i don't know. He was lucky to manage all of his chassis' resonances but one thing is doing 1 flying lap, another thing is driving 300km with "Pumping" suspensions.
Schumacher... well, i'm sure he's seriously pissed off. Let's wait and see!

bse50 got it right. It looks like Hamilton tried to keep Maldonado behind with the 'twitch', but Maldonado got past and Hamilton looked like he just flicked his car into the side of the Williams car, causing Hamilton's front right of the car light damage.

gee, some of you here are downright just Hamilton-hater. I'm not even gonna try and argue with you about that.
but hell (#)@*&(85 here comes my rant.

Maldonado was slow, well slow-er at least. Yes he was held up, but if he had some *****, he could've made a move before or at the chicane. Hamilton has all the rights to squeeze him out of the chicane. The dumbass move by MAL on the cool down laps though. WTF?

HAM's car was jumping up and down like a **** in Q3, for all we know, he might've gotten pole had the idiot not bump into him.

RBR is in serious danger, then again Vettel has so much buffer, he could probably retire for the next couple race and still win WDC lol

I can't believe they are letting him race.

But yeah, seriously, I don't know what you guys are on lol.

And p.s. poor poor button Let's hope it rains tmr just so he could win from dead last again lol. Canada was friggin' epic.

eitherway Pastor Maldonado is a friggin idiot. FIA should strip him of his super license.

Look at the replay again. If it was a cool down lap why didn't Hamilton just slow down to avoid Pastor? Jeesh, Mclaughlin fans are blind!
Pastor did the right thing, the other nice option would have been a nice pit fight like the good ol' days. Think Coulthard and Schumi.

Hamilton was on his last lap, Pastor got his own lap ruined by Lewis so? Real gentlemen like Alonso and Button just bit the bullet for their traffic and incomprehensions. Hamilton should go back to racing gokarts.

i'm not talking abt the chicane incident. i'm talking abt the swipe he took on the grid line straights just before Eau Rouge. Avenging someone on track in speeds of 200mph is just plain stupid. I still don't get why FIA's still letting him race. 5 place grid penalty? Really?! Avoidable incident? That **** was deliberate!

but o em gee............. u need to look closer.... MAL went wide, HAM saw a gap and took it. MAL realized it but it's already too late.

here!

He was running so wide that these 2 made it seem like he was heading to the pits

Then he was like awww what the hell, let me **** with Hamilton, just cuz he fucked up my race in Monaco. :DDDD

or another angle?

MAL, "Hmmmm, Should I pit?"

MAL, "NAwww, lemme **** with Hamilton :D"

It doesn't work like that...
Maldonato was picking the chicane wider on purpose to gain some extra speed for a fast lap. If he was already trying to make the fast lap then he would have gone past barrichello. That chicane is pretty difficult.
200mph? They're going at 260km\h there.

well, MAL must've known someone's behind him, picking a wider line = getting passed in this situation. everyone's fighting for themselves. so ur saying hamilton should've backed off? lol... anyone would've went for it in the same situation. come on man. let's be fair.

and i'm just saying.... does it matter? does 260kph sounds a hell lot safer than 200mph? lol

***and mods. ._. we are just discussing. my anger is aimed at MAL and not at any of the members here.***

Just look at how Hamilton went wider after closing in in chicane, driving MAL outside.
That straight is downhill and there are walls approx 6feet from the track but where's the problem? That's not where drivers usually pass. It's better to stay on the far right to cut through the eau rouge and treat the radillon as a straight.
Hamilton was in his cool-down lap so that's why he got out of the way. Maldonato clashed with him on purpose so what? He didn't like what Hamilton did and showed it to him. Drivers did that all the time during the real f1 era...

I honestly have nothing to say to that...

The clocked winded down to 0:00 before either of them got past the finish line, so everyone would be in their cool down lap.

I just don't think a 5 place grid penalty is fair

That is another point, a race ban or a 10 position penalty would have been wiser maybe.
It was still very cool that he had the ***** to do that!
