I will always be a tifoso, even if we fall back in the mid80s crap storm.
Corridor voices say that 2012 will be a great year for the new car. Somebody defined it "revolutionary". The 6cyl is also under advanced development already but still, we are the 3rd\4th best team right now.
I also like Nando and he deserves to win. He is very loyal to Ferrari but would you imagine what he could achieve in the right car, now?

A typical finish (RB, RB, McL, Fer) for an atypical race. It kept it exciting. I thought, mid race, Alonso was going to finish 1st or 2nd.
dezau, I don't know of any Hamilton haters here. He gets criticized for dumb moves (like the one today), but not hate. I enjoy watching a F1 race. I am not sooo emotionally evolved in watching any race that I can hate my favorites.
As for Saturdays events, both Mal & Ham were trying to intimidate one another. If you saw the Senna movie, you saw Prost & Senna doing the same thing with more at stake. Some of us are old enough that we saw that on ESPN back in the day.

I finally got to see the on-board footage of Hamilton. I feel that I wrongfully blamed Hamilton in the later accident with Maldonado. Lewis didn't move the steering wheel and Maldonado either turned into him by mistake or on purpose. Either way, I feel Lewis is 0% at fault. From the previous replay on Saturday, it looked really suspicious as though Hamilton turned into the Williams car.

Come on, the tires are the same for everybody. And, you have been complaining about them all year. Why haven't you done anything to compensate?
Lewis Hamilton displayed remarkable honesty in apportioning total blame upon himself for Sunday's accident in the Belgian Grand Prix.
Hamilton: Forget about the title
Hamilton's Belgian Grand Prix came to a crashing conclusion on Sunday afternoon when he ploughed nose first into the barriers after clipping Kamui Kobayashi's Sauber.
It was not the result that McLaren needed for the Championship quest as points leader Sebastian Vettel clinched the victory, extending his lead over the chasing pack.
Hamilton's DNF meant he dropped to fifth in the standings, behind team-mate Jenson Button, and trails Vettel by 113 points with just 175 to play for.
"Everyone should forget about the title because it is not going to happen," Hamilton said.

How F1 Is Changing The Future Of Air Travel
Read more: http://www.4029tv.com/sports/2901670...#ixzz1WWHDnW4A
Over the years the company has developed modeling software to analyze live racing data and visualize a range of potential scenarios -- allowing pit crews to make strategic decisions in the blink of an eye -- all in an effort to get their cars back out onto the racetrack milliseconds ahead of their competitors.
It's this ground-level tracking technology that could hold the key to unlocking congestion, reducing CO2 emissions by streamlining the way aircraft make their own pit-stops once they've landed -- dropping off passengers, refueling and departing again with F1 efficiency.
This similarity between a motor race and an airport runway was first observed by Peter Tomlinson, head of aviation data solutions at NATS, while attending a workshop on cross-industry collaboration at McLaren's UK technology center three years ago.

Let's face it... Schumacher is done and should no longer be racing even if he got lucky enough to finish 5th last weekend...
Ferrari's Stefano Domenicalli needs to be put out of his misery. Please get out!! You are hurting the team badly!! You should have changed Alonso's tires during the yellow flag...heck I even know that!!
Alonso is the best driver in F1, period... With the car he has I am amazed how he was able to achieve a few podiums and such...
So Ferrari needs a new Team Manager... what about Schumacher???
Common... Schumi IS Ferrari and what an awesome combination this could be...
Schumi as Team Principal, Alonso and Kubica in a Ferrari... That's all we need.

Schumacher still gets 5-10th with the 4th best car. This means that he is doing a great job anyway... Older and slower? Possibly. Time to retire? After next year for sure ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Domenicali is weird, I don't know if he is the main idiot or if he is a nice guy surrounder by idiots. Since we won a lot in the todt era I think the first, not the latter...
Even with one more soft tyre pit stop Alonso wouldn't have won. We were only 1.5 secs faster with the soft tyres, 2 at the end of the race. That in a 13 lap lifespan.... With the harder tyres and even less fuel to heat them up from the beginning things would have ended in a similar way![Frown](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
It's really frustrating to see a champion in a toy car, that's for sure.
Massa is too unlucky.

Well, let's bring up some real debate.
Everybody blames and tags F1 as boring because there are no overtakes... A lot of rule changes with bullshitting devices like KERS, DRS and smaller rear wings were adopted.
Then, why do we only see overtakes in the old school track?
They should impale Hermann Tilke instead of blaming the cars and the drivers. Spa, Monza, Susuka, Interlagos, Silverstone and the old Hockenheim are all passing-friendly trakcs...
Tilke designs tracks with long straights and harsh turns or vice versa. What Spa, Monza, Suzuka etc have in common is the exact opposite.. plus real combination of corners. No fancy pit lanes are a blessing, too.

Sweeping corners are what F1 doesn't like. They will require a chicane to slow the cars down before this type of corner. Sweepers are a single lane corner anyway. You have a out braking possibility when entering a chicane.
Sweeping corners and high speed kinks are fun as hell to drive.

If you're following from behind but are faster the sweeper works well to prepare for the overtake, possibly forcing the exit to be on the inside. Same happens when they are after the straight: you can keep the inside and drive ***** to the wall or just be a whiner and leave the outside driver take the lead

Monza with the chicanes is not Monza for this very reason imho.
The esses in suzuka are another prime example of how better they are than other designs!

Hamilton leads the field by a big margin in first practice, almost 1 second ahead of Button and 1.366 ahead of Vettel. Of course this is only first practice and we know Seb can do wonders in the RB chassis for qualifying.

Don't take these times too seriously. P1\P2 are completely useless, telemetry wise.
Teams generally start refining the setup, then doing several tests with several fuel loads etc.
You often see drivers going full speed in just one sector, then sandbagging etc.
FP3 starts showing the real picture, then it's time attack time with qualifying
