Felipe Massa criticises Lewis Hamilton's driving in Singapore
A furious Felipe Massa heavily criticised Lewis Hamilton after their clash at the Singapore Grand Prix.

McLaren's Hamilton was penalised after turning into Massa when fighting over seventh, breaking part of his front wing and puncturing Massa's rear tyre.

After the race, Massa tapped Hamilton on the shoulder to which the Brit responded: "Don't touch me, man."
more at: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/form...e/15052980.stm

Hamilton was overly aggressive in his attempted pass of Massa. He deserved more than a drive through penalty for his action. He was either hoping Massa would wimp out and let him by (an admitted possibility) or the red mist got in his eyes and he lost all since of reasonable judgment.
Massa on the other hand lacks the ability to pass cars. While he may have the third best car out there, look what Hamilton was able to achieve with all the pit stops and penalties he had in the race. Massa should have been in the points. With a better #2 driver, Ferrari should be second in the points now. Massa can drive a car fast. He qualifies well. He just can't race.

They didn't mention that Massa pitted 4 laps before the safety car and ended up in heavy traffic made of cars with fresh tyres...

Hamilton had his usual luck on the other hand, it's ridiculous how he can keep making the same idiotic mistakes and getting away with it. I mean... seriously.
He overtook Massa during qualifying with a stupid move (think maldonado in spa), hit Massa while overtaking where it was not humanely possible to (think Kobayashi, SPA) yet still they allow him to race.

Schumacher was so cool to watch, too bad that he is a late braker\old school racer lol.

Vettel is by far the best driver of the lot when driving his Redbull. I'd like watching Nando drive a RBR...

Hamilton is a douchebag with luck while Schumacher is cool to watch although an old school late braker? My dear brother, I have had to adjust my biases over time. I can no longer say that Vettel is not great (Although I don't think he is the most talented). I can no longer say that Button is not amazing. Anyone with open eyes can see that Nando is among the cream of the crop. There are a lot of other drivers that would shine more in better chassis but I would argue (Opinion of course) that Lewis is still a step above the others in raw talent and lack of fear (Like Senna). I agree with you that he is doing some dumb things but some of those that appear dumb are just normal racing incidents. His move cutting Massa's tire was a misjudgement very similar to Michael's move that sent him airborne and out of the race; both were inches off of perfect and affected by the pace of the other driver (Coming off throttle or not accelerating as anticipated). A more relaxed and mature Hamilton with a better chassis would be something unreal to watch.

He had what, 5 years to mature? It took Vettel only 3 to become amazing and "perfect"...

I'm not sure how long Nando will last anyway, I would have killed all of my engineers a long long time ago.

He has the 2nd best package in F1 to work with. You can't get much better than that. I would rate Button & Alonso as better drivers. They make less mistakes and keep their emotions in check.
If Hamilton had a RBR, he would be out front like Vettel and not have to worry about passing, making stupid moves and such.

^^ +++++1!

I've always been a Hamilton fan, but i couldn't agree more what aln's said.

Button and Alonso waits for opportunities to come to them, they don't go for it every move. It's like "no go no go" unless they are sure 100% it'd work.
Vettel and Hamilton are the raw speed type. They take a car and go way beyond what other people can do.
The difference is Hamilton is always trying to make passes, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it does, it looks friggin amazing, but when it doesn't, he's bashed hard. (Though there are some instances in this race, it just seemed like his "opponents" seems to just give away positions to him. I don't know if it's the nature of the track or it is just really the case.)
Well.. Vettel's case... he just never really got the chance to "overtake" and prove himself.

BUT SERIOUSLY, you can't deny Massa's the dumbass of the week.

That qualifying thing... obviously Hamilton was afraid Massa is backing him up on purpose just to hold him up so nando would get more free air or well... less pressure on his flying lap? I don't see any reason why Hamilton would wanna jump him. If you look at the replays, Massa indeed is trying to hold him up.

After the race though, all I gotta say is... wow... Massa... I lost all my respect if there was any.
On the other hand, Hamilton could've thrown punches at him, he didn't. Massa was obviously trying to provoke him, pick a fight or sth, anyway well he failed. Very good PR and maybe EQ training on Hamilton's part.

Delays cause concerns over inaugural US Grand Prix
A behind-the-scenes power struggle at the USA Grand Prix could endanger the ability of organisers to hold the inaugural race in late 2012.

The Austin Statesman, which has been following developments closely, has revealed work at the new Circuit of the Americas venue has slowed of late as a possible change of promoters and management becomes a possibility. "Construction of the grandstands, paddock and medical centre has yet to start ... [but] developers have maintained they are still on schedule and that building will begin soon on what has grown to a 1,100-acre site."

When asked the fantasy list of questions that all the F1 drivers are asked by F1.com, both Petrov and now Kobayashi when asked what driver they would hire for the ultimate team "outside of themselves and their current team mate" have chosen Lewis Hamilton.

Why does it seem to me Lewis is giving up... FP1 behind Jenson, FP2 behind everyone... I know these practice times don't mean ****, but... you'd think with Lewis' competitiveness... He would wanna be in front of his teammate anytime

Well, congrats Vettel!
Alonso second is also amazing. Getting up there with the 3rd best car requires talent.

I didn't watch the race, how happened the collision between hamildumb and massa?

Sebastian Vettel insists he did not see Jenson Button in Suzuka start incident
Sebastian Vettel said he had no idea Jenson Button was alongside him when they nearly made contact at the start of the Japanese Grand Prix.

Pole-winner Vettel made a slightly slow start and then eased across towards the faster-moving Button, who ran out of space and had to take to the grass before backing off and dropping to third behind McLaren team-mate Lewis Hamilton. Button recovered to win the race, while Vettel came home third and clinched the 2011 title.

Stewards explain Felipe-Lewis ruling
he Japanese Grand Prix race stewards have revealed that they decided not to penalise either Felipe Massa or Lewis Hamilton following their collision as the Brazilian was "attempting to overtake on the left into a right hand corner".

The two were battling for fourth place when they made contact on Lap 22, sending some minor parts of their cars flying onto the track. Both though were able to continue and although the stewards investigated the incident they decided not to take further action.

Hamilton claimed he didn't see the Ferrari driver pulling alongside him but Massa had a different take on the issue, saying: "I was much quicker, so I went to the left-hand side and I braked there. I stayed on my line; he moved his car and touched my car".

The stewards' report on the FIA website explained the decision not to punish either driver: "Having viewed the video evidence in relation to the action of the driver of car three at turn 16 and after comparing the line that Lewis Hamilton took on the previous lap, and having noted that car six Felipe Massa was attempting to overtake on the left into a right hand corner the stewards decide to take no further action."

Yes, Vettel is Champion. It would have been nice if the other teams could have come to the races with a better car so there could have been some actual competition.
Now it looks like we have a three way race to see who gets second. I think Hamilton is too far behind to consider it a 4 way.

I know it's been a long season, but I expected some comments (cheering even) about Hamilton getting the pole.

Just finished watching it... Seemed like he was tearing it up when he got out of the car. Very emotional indeed. As much as I'd love him to win tonight, but I don't think he's at the top of his form. My prediction. Vettel > Button > Hamilton > Alonso > Webber
