I know, i know...
I'm also against the NFL punishing bounties on players... that's my level of sportsmanship.

Should have saved the race sooner...
Yesterday, to be precise.

Ha ha! Poor Massa.

Now, will Alonso remain ahead of DiResta and will Vettel remain ahead of Button? Time shall tell.

That race was more exciting that expected.

Seems reliability is playing a bigger part of the season this year, more so that tires.

With Hamilton losing his gearbox this week and Vettel losing his Alternator last week, it seems the guy that can get his car to the end, and stay in the top 5, will be in the best shape.

It is unbelievable how close the WDC battle is this season.

Great run for Kimi and for Massa. Kimi hauling it up to P6 from P11 and Massa having that puncture at the beginning, resetting back to P22 then racing back up to P8 on a track that is very hard to pass on.

Fun race, looking forward to Japan and a proper racetrack again.

Schumi: It was unavoidable
Michael Schumacher has apologised for Jean-Eric Vergne after he slammed into the back of him during Sunday's Singapore GP.
For the second year running, Schumacher's night in Singapore came to an abrupt end with the nose of his Mercedes meeting the back of a rival's car.

I'm not exactly understanding his excuse.
Despite finishing in the points. Massa's qualifying position wasn't excusable. If he had driven the car to it's potential on Saturday, he would have qualified and finished better today.

Lewis had "made up mind" to leave McLaren - Ecclestone
Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone believes Lewis Hamilton had made his mind up to leave McLaren before his recent winning streak with the team began at the Hungarian Grand Prix in July.

Hamilton went on to win the Italian Grand Prix and retired from the lead of Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix with a gearbox failure. Ecclestone says that this success may have changed his opinion about leaving.

That would make him a lesser person compared to Alonso who, on the other hand, decided to stay at Ferrari despite the challenges involved.
However Hamilton is Fernando's biggest ally right now. Faster than Vettel, he will play a role in keeping him at bay while Fernando does his best to score points.

The article has him going to Mercedes, replacing MS, rather than Ferrari. Although, it said they had been talking to them too. I'm not sure the ability of the Mercedes is up to his standards.

Hamilton wouldn't be able to succeed outside of McLaren or RedBull. Think about the thoughts that a short losing streak brought to his mind... he would develop suicidal tendencies in a team like Ferrari or Mercedes!

True...but Ferrari is probably one of the most coveted seats in ALL motorsports....win or loose...you're still a Ferrari driver...and I'm not even one of their biggest fans, but you do have to respect the prancing horse!! AND DAMN!!! Massa still has some talen in him...96% of the field would have crashed in that incident with Senna

Does anyone know why a position with Ferrari is so coveted? I know they are willing to pay the best, but it must do something off track. Less sponsorship commitments?

It has to do with heritage, money and sponsorship commitments combined together.

A buddy of mine made a great comparison with Ferrari...Bose. Bose doesn't make the "best" sounding speakers, but whenever you ask someone what's a great stereo system...their name always comes up. Kind of the same with Ferrari, yeah you can find more HP, better reliability, etc... in other brands, but the first thing you think of when someone says an "exotic car" its Ferrar and probably Lambo. Granted, the folks on this board may think of many different others, but we're all motor heads, so we know many types...but I'm just saying when you ask the average jo schmo. We're the 1% when it comes to knowledge of performance vehicles...so we don't count

'McLaren up Hamilton offer'
McLaren are determined to hang onto Lewis Hamilton and the team have reportedly increased their contract offer to the 2008 World Champion.
Hamilton, whose deal with the Woking squad runs out at the end of the season, he has been strongly linked with a move to Mercedes with many claiming the German manufacturer are offering him a lot more cash than his current team.

Sundays result couldn't have helped McLaren much.

Circuit of the Americas declared ready for F1 race
Circuit of The Americas on Tuesday announced that it has been cleared for racing and is set to host the 2012 Formula One United States Grand Prix. Charlie Whiting, who directs racing, safety and technical matters for the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the sanctioning body that oversees international motorsport, made the announcement. Whiting visited the Texas sports and entertainment venue as part of a scheduled pre-race inspection and approved the circuit for “Grade 1” status, which is the highest distinction awarded to a motorsports venue.

Ecclestone says New Jersey has no contract for 2013 F1 race

The Grand Prix of America in New Jersey, which is on the provisional Formula One racing schedule for 2013, appears to be on shaky ground after a report surfaced in London on Tuesday.

My report on 9/21st hinted at this.

Ferrari is dumb... They should force Alonso to be a team player if they want to win a constructors championship again. Perez was a product of ferrari's own driving academy... they basically spent a lot of money to grow a fruit that will be eaten by another team. Smart move!

Besides Hammy showed who he really is by chosing more money and advertising opportunities over winning.

I think Hamilton is making a mistake but who knows with the new engine formula next year. I don't like Mclaren but I'd love to see Button win the championship next year.
