Wow, you cannot script a season like this!!

I cannot believe how close the WDC is and with 5 races left, still up in the air.

I am not 100% sure Kimi was to blame for that Fernando incident, I watched the Replay on Tivo a few times and Fernando seems to cut across Kimi giving him no room nor a chance to leave room.
F1 2012 - Japan Race, &, crashes, f1 - Videa

One has to wonder in Jensen stayed behind Kobayashi on purpose, maybe for 2 reasons:
1. He didn't want to sleep on the couch
2. He knew this podium would be huge for the people of Japan, that could use a good boost.

I did not agree with Senna's penalty either, it was a result of the pile up behind the RoGro / Weber shunt.

Great, drama free drive by Sebastian, while too early to call it, 4 of the 5 tracks are favorable ones for RBR, if he can keep his head in the game and the car does not let him down, he might have a shot at 3X WDC.

I am quietly hoping Kimi can sneak in and take the WDC again as well.

Honda open to future Formula 1 return
Honda is open to the idea of a return to Formula 1 in the future, even though it thinks such a move will not happen in the short-term.

The Japanese manufacturer turned its back on the sport at the end of 2008, when a worldwide economic slump left the car company unable to justify the huge investment needed for an F1 project.

There have been several rumours since then that Honda could be tempted back - and high-level sources have suggested that informal talks have taken place between the Japanese car maker and the FIA about a future F1 programme.

It does not say if they are thinking about starting a team or being an engine supplier. While I think this is important news, I'm not excited. Honda moves in and out of F1 on a whim.

Marko happy Hamilton leaving McLaren
Dr Helmut Marko has revealed he is pleased Lewis Hamilton is moving to Mercedes.

Red Bull's driver manager, who is also the team owner Dietrich Mateschitz's right-hand man on racing matters, told Germany's Auto Motor und Sport he needs to thank Niki Lauda.

Triple world champion Lauda has officially joined Mercedes, after helping the German marque with its Concorde Agreement negotiations and convincing Hamilton to jump ship from top team McLaren.

"Niki has done us a favour," said outspoken Austrian Marko. "He has weakened Lewis and McLaren.

"Next year, we have two opponents less," he added.

I am SO tired of Hamilton's immature commentary and off track foolishness, from his desire to find his blackness and be a victim to his disrespect for the team with the tweet of sensitive data, not to mention complaining on one of the only times that Jenson just plain outdrove him.

That being said, if the incident with Alonso driving off track in Japan had been Lewis people would not be blaming Kimi. Fernando made a poor choice and took a risk. I was surprised he did not save it either.

This is Vettel's championship I suspect.

Paul.

You mean Poor Webber, whenever this guy gets a sniff some ******* drives into him, almost killing his year...AGAIN!

It is always someone else, I cant recall ever Webber causing a major crash or knocking out another driver, he and Button are at least respectful of other drivers around them while racing.

It would be nice if you could orchestrate, each of the top teams, to have off period about every third year. Just to teach some humility.

Webber's a good driver. What I don't like about him is that he doesn't show much class when something does happen. I'm sure it's frustrating, but calling Grosjean a nutcase, accusing Kimi of drinking vodka in the car, and saying Vettel's a kid who fucked it all up, doesn't show maturity and class. I don't know, that's just my opinion of him.

And the incident between him and Romain was pretty suspect. It seems like he loses a lot of speed in that first corner and Grosjean is caught off guard b/c he's watching the other action around him. Even the speed commentators picked up on it and placed some blame on Webber.

Arrest warrant issued for Vijay Mallya
An Indian court on Friday issued a non-bailable warrant against business tycoon Vijay Mallya and five others in a cheque bounce case.......

How this will impact Force India is still to be determined. There has been no official response from Vijay Mallya at this time, but it is safe to say he must be very worried at the prospect of spending time in jail instead of cruising aboard the Indian Princess.

..........................
Maybe a spot will be opening up for a new team.

....and its might funny Honda has been poking thier nose back into F1 here lately.... He's another question, doees this mean that Mallya will have to skip the next race? Wouldn't that suck if he gets cuffed and hauled off right in the middle of FP1 in 2 weeks!!! Sad part about all of this...it's "only" 2 million bucks....he could sell off his damn yacht and cover that 7 times over!! FN DUCHEBAG!!! Something about frigging multi-millionaires and them not even paying their bills kind of pisses me off. Moreover, I've read countless times that Force India is the absolut WORST when it comes to them paying for parts and services...WTF!!!!

Just a simple mismanagement of funds,I guess is what he'll say.
When you got billions it's hard to keep track of just a couple of million

^^...and you know G...I'm sure you're absolutely correct about that, but dang, one would think that he wouldn't let it go so far that they would have to issue a warrant for his arrest...as soon as he found out the checks bounced he should have taken care of it...I don't know what kind of time frame this whole thing revolves around, but surley he knew about it before they issued the warrant...but maybe not...still kind of shitty....it's my understanding all the Kingfisher pilots and flight staff walked out due to not being paid...

Regarding Vijay Mallya, why is he in legal trouble? Checks from King Fisher Airlines for monies owed to an Indian airport were found to be worthless. Should they not simply seize assets of the Corporation. I know the legal system differs from place to place so maybe India treats that differently than elsewhere. It is shameful to see a billionaire in such a dishonorable situation.

I am fond of India and like to see development in all spheres take place there and from there. It has been nice to see the rise of the Force India team (A good underdog story, even though Vijay is filthy rich ).

Paul.
