Picked up my MX-5 (pics inside)
I am very impressed with it. The performance is spot on, with even less understeer than the RX-8. Its faster below 50mph than the RX-8 (which is where I do most of my accelerating anyway). And it is nice to have the feeling of low-speed torque again; it is even easiser to kick the tail out. The shifter is awesome too, although the pedals might be too close together.
It wasn’t my first color choice, but I cared about options more than color. There is a lot of stuff on it that I don’t care about (like the body kit pieces and 6-disc); it actually has a higher sticker price than my RX-8! But the 10 extra mpg makes up for it...
Anyway, just wanted to share the pics with everyone.
And here is the RX-8

Certainly a great vehicle--especially for the money. But it doesn't have a rotary engine.
Drove one at a Zoom-Zoom Live when the new generation first came out and liked it. I had a '92 that I had a ball with but had to trade it for a more practical vehicle in '96. One thing that distresses me about this new generation is the cluttered engine compartment when compared with earlier generations. Guess that's the result of the more stringent emissions regulations.
Anyway, enjoy your new ride! I'll be back in one some day--if I live long enough, that is.

Nice pics. I really like the Miata--now where is the MS version of it.
I think the front end needs some freshening. A more interesting and less slot like headlight cluster would help. Also the interior is a bit too plasticky--esp. the center console.
It is a heck of a fun little car to drive and top down driving is a blast.

Nice Job!!! Now just swap your Renesis into the MX-5 and you'll spank all these other guys! I also own a MX5. I don't own an RX8 but i plan to do this swap later in my life.

Don't sweat that color man...that combination looks very classy.
I wasn't overly excited about the NC when I first saw it (I was more partial to the Ibuki concept), but it's growing on me. Personally, I feel that the MX-5 will "age" better than both the Solstice and Sky, which might look played out in a few years. I really like the fact that Mazda put so many visual cues to the NA in there, even the dashboard is spot on for the original Miata. The only thing that annoys is the placement of the cupholders. They dig into your leg...bummer.
Grats on the new go-kart man...VERY nice!

nice, i want white one with hard top!!! Love the sports kit too. How's wind noise and visibility out back? I never drove miata before but when I sat in one at the dealership, I couldn't see a thing out the back...
Photoshopped headlight:
I kinda wish headlight look more aggressive too.
