I'll bet it'll match the existing coupes in price. The exception might be if the sell a 323 coupe version of the sedan they are currently selling (in Canada, don't know about US).
I'm sure it'll be a great car, the existing coupe is a current fav. and my best buddies ride. Softer than the 8 (325 & 330), but still a real enjoyable drive. Hope they don't bring in turbos though!

I don't understand why BMW, after flat out refusing to turbo anything, is going to twin turbo this car. Those engineers make some of the best engines in the M department. Why don't they just make/take one from there?
Don't get me wrong, the engine I am sure will be nice and fast, but it just seems out of character.
Other than that the car is really sick looking if you can't afford an M3.

the current 333hp 3.2L I6 engine, is rated 16mpg city by the EPA. my dad has one, and it gets around that with casual driving, if you floor it all the time it gets more like 10 or 11mpg. From what I hear on M3 forums, the new 400+hp V8 is actually supposed to get better fuel economy.

i think bmw usually goes through some ups & downs before they get things right. do we remember the horrific 318ti hatchback? <puke-o-rama flip-over mobile>
the new coupe looks nice from the front. but, just like the 4-door, the sides look forcibly angular, and the rear tail lights really need serious help. japanese competition is undoubtedly the driving force behnd their desire to up the antes. (toyota, lexus, and nissan all are up'ing their bang for the buck in things to come.)
as a previous 3-series owner though, i have a lot of faith in bmw. i'm just a bit tired of the price tags that seemingly spiral upwards without end...

i also have faith that they will do it right, my family also recently just bought a 2004 325i to replace my mom's old 97 millenia that broke down constantly, the bimmer dosnt have as much hp as its competitions and it dosnt have the same high tech gadgets or the pretty neon lights. But after driving it, it just feels like a great and well made car thats solid and excellent in every category. The warranty and service is as great as they comes.
