Porsche 550 Spyder
Alright, this one is for you old-timers:D , just a quick question. This car is obviously one of the most influential Porsche's ever made, it heavily influenced the sexy lines of the Boxster. There was a show on SPEED about this car called Autorotica: Behind the Headlights. Can anyone tell me (If this question is WAY to easy) if you know what famous actor was killed behind the wheel of this car in 1955?

Here is a good pic.....the 550 Spyder sells for around 1 million dollars today (If you can find one)

Someday I would consider purchasing a well done replica. This is my favorite vintage Porsche by far, and one of my favorite cars of all time. Probably for similar money to the replica I will end up with a 79 - 83 930, but it won't be an easy decision. I can pretty much assure you all that I will never be in the market for a million dollar, so I doubt I'll ever see a real one.
