The panamera really does look horrible. It's huge and it's a station wagon, which is probably the hardest setup to make look good, but even then they still did a poor job of styling it, so it REALLY looks bad,.


Also just because I defend the 8 doesn't mean I am a fanboi or that I blindly defend it no matter what. There's tons of things I hate about the 8, seriously, but the handling isn't one of them. It's a big part of what the car is known for.

But, apparently, lap times are ONLY about handling, so the video posted must have been CGI.

^^^ I saw one and was so queasy I barfed on its hood. It looks like it hit every ugly stick off the ugly tree.
I looked at it for 10 minutes and thought omg, what in the world were they thinking when they designed this thing.
The Aston Martin Rapide is way better looking.

 

Ok, some of the logic here needs a look. I won't argue that lighter is better, but, lighter than what? The Porsche is a pig at 4000lbs? If we follow this logic then to me your RX8 is a pig.
My 911 comes in at 2600 lbs. 500 less than the 3100 lbs of the RX8. So that must mean that no way can the Mazda handle as well as my Porsche. Or is the 3100 lbs. the magic number. Anything more just can't be made to handle like the RX8.
As far as looks go, I'll wait until I see one in person. I do admit the pics don't make it look very good, but everyone that has seen one likes how it looks.

 

I have seen it in person loaded with luggage and it truly is amazing. Would I buy it at that price range? No but my boss is seriously consider getting rid of his S55 or his CL65 (possibly both) to get it.
