depends on the location. I'm one of the few vettes within a 50 mile radius of my house. I'm also the only modified one.

 

insurance is always a factor to consider. It is the one main factor in going with the 8 back in 2004, when I was also considering an STi and Evo RS

 

Yep, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the '8's insurance was compared to others I was considering at the time.

But I still want an Elise.

 

That was one of the main reasons I got the 8. Insurance was fantastic. That's also a reason I got the vette...only like $10/mo more than the 8.

 

I just bought a Mazda 3 (no MS, just the base hatch)...and the insurance is 120 bucks more per year. Not a big deal, but I was rather surprised at the fact that it was more than the 8....I guess going from a 04 to an 08 can account for some of that.

Toyota calls them the XD (1zz-fe)
and the matrix XRS. (2zz-ge)


Too bad they are not lightweight.
