DMP,
We're good...didn't realize how much of a joker you are. Now, I know...

There was a hater on here a few days ago extolling the virtues of his Honda Goldwing in corners as opposed to an RX-8. That bike is big enough that it has a reverse gear! It isn't a canyon carver by any stretch of the imagination.
A crotch rocket needs a good rider to fully see it's potential. Then again so does a car. The difference is that an average Joe could get a car to it's limits much sooner than they could a motorcycle. I can drive a car just fine but I couldn't ride a bike terribly quick around corners. I'm not used to them. A crotch rocket is basically a streetable 2 wheeled F1 car as far as I'm concerned. It's not too fair comparing them to cars in any way. They are marvels of handing though.

Freddie Spencer rode a Goldwing at his racing school for the bikes's launch. He out rode journalists on school race bikes...to your point, it's all about the caliber of rider.

What? I thought eveybody here loves a good "ribbing?" Is it not customary to "chime-in" at the most opportune moment?

None of these are the same car either. There's a body kit and some possibly engine work. I guarantee the badge on the back is different on each too! We have a Civic, and Civic Revolution Type S, and a Civic Revolution QWERTY-R. Now if they came from the factory like this, THEN they'd be different cars worthy of a new name (drop the Civic) and not to be compared with each other as that is blashpemous! At least that's what the standard is supposed to be or so we've been told!

Bike vs. car threads are funny. Why even debate it. Bike's faster 95% of the time. Bike guys get oddly defensive in these types of threads.

C'mon now Texas...Squids are only riders who don't wear gear, at least that's how it is up here...
