Alright, so it's an old article, and may or may not be quite accurate, but it's an interesting read nonetheless.

Has anyone tried burning a lower grade in their 8? I always use premium but over the summer I drive alot of highway miles and it really seems like a waste. However not as much as damaging your engine if in fact that is what will happen.

The last 10,000 miles she got only 87 octane, Texaco, Exxon or Shell.
I cannot tell a difference, so I'm sticking with 87.
