Road Atlanta Genesis Coupe Video

It's clear you don't appreciate or admire this effort from Hyundai. I hear what you're saying and thanks for all your input, however, it's time for you to move on. Something along the lines of if you've nothing positive to say,...etc., etc. ..what's your point of hanging around???? ...is what I'm getting at....

I'm interested on this car and what it has to offer. I been reading on the Genesis Coupe forum and there are a lot of photos of this car modded in Korea. Some of the turbo models are making upward of 350 whp with stock internals. Supposedly the turbo model is sporting the same short block as the EVO X. So I'm waiting on this car to available so I can take a closer look.

One thing I really miss here at rx8club and can see it happening at http://www.gencoupe.com (their forum) right now is that bubbling excitement that was the RX8club 5 years ago at intro of our car. Their new car is almost out, dynos are being studied as they appear, lots of questions and excitement, e.g. they're thinking the car is under rated plus ~50HP due to ECU controls (~350HP!), how to remove the engine limiters, changing things they're not even sure about, turbos, rear ends, etc., dreaming of all the fun they'll be having, planning mods....lot's of new pics from Korea, etc.
So regardless of whether you like Hyundai, their car, this particular car or whatever..... the excitement of a whole forum's worth of members to the impending launch of their new RWD sports coup is heady stuff....and a good place to relax and read all about the fun. Déjà vu all over again lol

I want this car to do well. That would be a good thing for affordable RWD performance.
I commend Hyundai. They have come a long way and will be force to be reckoned with.
Regarding styling... generally, I like it, but like many here, I find objections to the fascia and the rear window kink.
The face is definitely the weak link.

Eh, I think the car looks like a glorified tiburon in the front, the side looks like an Altima coupe with an obese rear window, and the back is pretty sexy looking.
IDK, I would still take a 370Z, Evo, or R3 over it

Yea there are several styling elements that are a bit suspect ... and the front is one of them....but then again there are a few angles I don't particularly like on the 8 either. Also pics are notoriously bad to judge how a car will impact on your visual senses in person. e.g. the '09 RX-8 looks pretty bad in many pics to me... the front esp, the 'mouth', all that black plastic stuff looks tackie, and literally tacked on. But then in person it ends up looking a lot like the Gen1, as you are standing up looking down on it, whereas most pics are more on a plane of the car itself.
So I'm reserving judgement, although I still do like some angles and dislike others from the pics. I think the saying is " I can't tell you what I like, but when I see it I'll know!" applies. Besides, aftermarket bumpers should be avail to spruce up the front, esp.
