No offense eeps, but first you need to learn to spell ROTARY. Now, not all of the advantages are tangible. One of the biggest advantages that I see, is that it is different. I like to be different. Mechanically, it is much smaller and lighter than conventional piston engines. It also has many fewer moving parts (only 4) than a piston engine. Less moving parts=less stuff to break or be out of adjustment. Those are the biggies.

I think you should start searching the internet for a while to answer that question. You'll find both advantages and disadvatages. It's easier to just say this than it is to spend an hour typing out all of the differences and the roles they play. You won't understand it all the first time you read it anyways.

There are many advantages and a few disadvantages,
Pros
-Smaller/lighter
-The rotaries constantly spin in one direction vs pistons going up and down so no power loss
-They rev much higher than piston engines
-They are very powerful for there displacement it only a 1.3liter but i puts out 238 hp, name and other 1.3 liter that can do that
-less moving parts
Cons
-not great gas milage
-consumes alot of oil
-not as much low end torque as piston engines

Rotarty?
Piston?
Well, the glaring advantage is that piston is easier to spell. LOL :D
