Rotary Engine Rebuilders

Colorado rotary engine shop
After reading all the comments on shops around the country, I own REspeedshop.com and have been building Rx's, racing in SCCA for years. We only do a handful of cars / motors per year and yes the costs have gone up quite a bit.
It is everyone's responsibility to seek out and ask a lot of questions about your build, including expectations and budget. As a long time SCCA racer, I know the old guys whom created the Mazda rotary community and have grown up admiring their work.
Figured it is time to jump into here as our shop has been active since 2016 and we intend to continue our work keeping the rotary alive and well. Thanks, happy holidays.

Been talking to the owner some recently and am realizing he’s a good guy who’s been in the rotary game since the late 70’s. So he might not be around forever, but I’m comfortable to give a “recommended” bump
His name is JP Derdeyn. If you’re in the Montreal CAN area give JP a shout.

*I also was confused thinking Derwyn was the Canadian shop that burnt down.
Didn't re-check

recent change at Pettit; he’s on the RX7Club forum, maybe too early to say, but possibly some hope …

things aren’t looking so good for service work at Chip’s Motorsports

just don’t want to see anybody get hung out for a year or more waiting …

sad to report that you can scratch Pineapple Racing off the list:

fewer and fewer of the original OGs left …

The few interactions I had with him were helpful.

I wouldn’t recommend placing any orders at Pineapple until it’s straightened out about who is doing what. I’m sitting here in no-mans land on an order placed last Saturday, not having seen that notice prior and there not being any notification about it on the website.
Are my parts coming and when, or will they be refunded in 30 days? In the meantime I can’t determine if I should order them somewhere else, or sit and lose a month, or chance it and end up with a double order.
It’s not a situation I want to be in, or see anyone else in.

_JB_ has reported his Pettit rebuild was a pretty bad experience.

I posted this link a while back, but I thought since he appears to be done with it, I'd bump it again.
If anyone sees me start repeating information and cluttering up the thread, please point it out to me... (or the mods should the forum outlive me)...
and we'll try to clean it up.
