Different strokes for different folks kid. Don't come on to a RX-8 forum and try to "convert" anyone... that's called trolling.

IMHO, The Z's *** is ugly. Renault ruined yet another Nissan great. The *** IS BIG. The side looks fat. The G35c looks MUCH MUCH better. And not everyone wants or can get away with only having 2 seats.

 

I actually wanted to get the Z before I even knew about the 8.

I only started to look more closely at the 8 when I found out it had 4 seats. After test drives, I was sold, the 8 is a much higher quality car in terms of interior and ride. The Z has more torque, but it's a heavy car that wasn't built from the ground up as a sports car - they share parts with heavy sedans to save on costs, and the engine is... well, common.

4 seats, rotary engine, awesome ride, and better bang for the buck. Thats why I picked the 8 over the Z.

With that said, I don't think there should be a ***** competition over which is better. I'd have no problems buying a Z if I had spare cash and wanted to get another sports car. I like both, but I'm going to be biased towards the 8 because I found it suited me best.

 

...and yes, it is trolling to come to a RX-8 board and brag about your non-RX8 car that costs the same as ours and tell us your car is better or that we should buy your car model.

It's not like we couldn't afford the Z, or that we bought the RX-8 without knowing full well what the 350Z was about. So give it up already.

 

I hate to say it, but the Z's looks are what attracted me to it initially and the 8, well, it wasn't as eye catching to me when I saw it in the mags. But now looking at both, I think the 8 has a more agressive sports car look to it, while the Z looks like a space pod.

Just kidding :D. Nice ride there, it looks really mean. The best part about the Z is the crazy short overhangs on the front. But admit it, I'm sure you agree that everyone here feels the same when they start the engines of their pride and joy and find out all over again why they love their cars.

I test drove the Z and the G35 coupe and was headed toward the Z until I saw the 8. It was love at first sight! Then I drove it. The handling was superior to the other two and I just felt more comfortable in the 8. I have not regretted my purchase since. I doubt you will either.

 

...damn those pictures make me want to go out and buy a Z...

No, my question really is genuine. I always heard about trolling and wondered what the heck it meant. Now I know it when I see it. I usually dismissed stuff like that as just a jerk with nothing else better to do. Now i'll just call them trollers. Somethign new I have learned.

Yup, it's posting just to cause an issue. For instance, the people who post stuff like "The RX-8 sucks!!" just to see what kind of reaction they'll get. Car boards seem to get a lot of it.

 

Yep, if you don't learn at least one thing a day... then, to me, your day is wasted! :D

(I also learned after posting in the random thoughts thread, that burn victims do NOT get a discount at a crematorium!)

My bad All!, Dident mean to be trolling at all. I just like being in other forums to learn about other cars!. I love my car to death and i prolly stated that to much but i was just trying to say my part. I wasent telling anyone they should by my car, im just stating i love my car more then anything just like you guyz love your cars. Sorry if i offended anyone. I just said the PT Cruiser thing cause you guyz call our car a space ship, or fat and bloated. I like how my car looks and to ME it looks better and to you guyz the RX-8 looks better. My friendsa getting an RX-8 prtty soon and were gonna mod it and i wanted to get an idea what the rx-8 is all about, agian im sorry if i offended any of you! once anything about a car is made extremely public, i.e. the 8's mpg everyone will jump on the wagon and pounce on the issue. i bet that a lot of the dismay over the gas milage is due to those who bought the car thinking that a 1.3 ltr. engine would be as ecoomical as a toyota echo. do your research boys and girls the rotary was, is, and will always be a high performance engine. mpg was an afterthought when it was developed. anyways i hate to get in mpg debate in this thread. and yes meow, a day is wasted if nothign new is learned but you don't have to be such a smarty pants about it. if all who are new in this forum are not taight any of the lingo that you all use and know for whatever reason; i don't know maybe you have been a member of other forums before, i have not. then no one would learn anything. and as for the burnign issue; i have learned all about it. and you have yet to flame me and prob. anyone else smartass.
