Faster is not personal opinion, it is fact. I don't know why you say it has nothing to do with real life or what that is supposed to mean.

Bashing? I think so.

People are just as ignorant and narrow minded over here. Lots of 18 year olds parents bought them an 8, and lots of automatic drivers too.

That may be so, but in the beginning it certainly wasn't like that...

I personally am not a fan of the "better driver wins" theory when comparing performance of two cars. I like to look at cars with objectivity, because unlike many here, I am very impartial. The fact is, a 350z is a faster car then the RX8. If you beat a guy in a 350z with your RX8, you are a better driver, and in that exact moment your car proved faster because of your skill, and lack of skill by your opponent. If people on here could take a step back and admit that the 350z is indeed a faster vehicle, but they are capable of beating one because of their driver skill, then that's fine. While admitting that, see if you can avoid criticizing the 350Z, because it only sounds like an insecure excuse. It makes for a more peaceful discussion, but I realize it can never exist on this forum, or any other forum. Is the 350z faster then the RX8, ABSOLUTELY. Does the RX8 handle better. ABSOLUTELY. The rest is merely discussion of driver skill, ect ect. SHIRI, I'M CALLING YOU OUT. What you said doeshave some truth to it. Young drivers are more prone to defend a car they either like or own, at any cost, which means criticizing another. This leads to arguments. Hell I'd have done it too in my younger years. I guess we get older and we think more rationally, and we are also more secure with ourselves. All in due time.

I have driven both cars and the 350z and the 8 in my eyes are different type of cars. The z has a good amount of torque and power available, it is a very capable car. When it was time for me to choose my car I looked at the practical aspect and decided the styling and 4 seater purpose of the 8 made more sense for me. I also always wanted an FD and never got one. Oh and the 9k redline never hurts either.

What I was trying to say is that, they always "think" they're faster, but is that true.

I can "think" that my 8 can beat a Ferrari, but is that true ?

Faster is not personal opinion, it is fact. I don't know why you say it has nothing to do with real life or what that is supposed to mean.
The third line is connected to the first one, sorry about the confusion. (they "think" they're faster, and thats just their own personal opinion, not real life fact)

I take it you think the hatch in the Z is unusable? it's not.
Z is nice, but most of the space has been taken. and not much space to carry stuff.

hmmmm....

Bashing? I think so.

People are just as ignorant and narrow minded over here. Lots of 18 year olds parents bought them an 8, and lots of automatic drivers too.
Thats also true, but ahh most of the time we dont bash other users, am I correct ?

I thought the back of the z had quite a bit of storage, but they put that stupid brace along the back that was a little difficult to put larger things in the back.

Like someone said earlier, if money were not a problem I'd gladly have any of the latest hot commodity cars. But, the RX8 for now meets most of my needs pretty well.

True, but I was talking about *new* Vettes (I'm not getting into the whole new vs used debate). Many people were able to buy brand new, never titled Corvettes for under $40k at the same time the 350z Track model was selling for at or near the sticker price of $35k.

And again, these are simply the *real world* prices. (I feel like I need to repeat that because some people on this forum seem to have a hard time accepting any information that's different from what the screen says in Gran Turismo)

Like the Mustang and Camaro, the Vette and the Viper, the Evo and the STi...the RX-8 needs the 350Z. If not for those kind of rivalries, performance would suffer, and manufacturers wouldn't have to keep pricing down to remain competitive.

The RX-8 vs 350Z rivalry has created a standard for $30k, 250hp, RWD performance compact cars. Previously BMW had the monopoly with honorable mentions like the AMG C-class and IS350, but all were priced higher than the RX-8/350Z.

that is true, if we didnt have the 350 we would be trying to compare wid other cars way out of our range or too low our range and things would be boring, i jus love the fact that driving skill counts, cuz it gives a factor that can flip the whole thing around

hmm, well lets see. I own one of them and 2 friends of mine own 6mt Z's and i routinely run with them and have driven their cars probaby a little bit more than you got to drive them at your little test drive around the block at your local nissan dealer in wisconsin.

what would i know, my good buddy(that happens to be very well informed of my situation here on the west coast) over the internet Ike thinks that i don't have a drivers license and have never driven a car in my life let alone a RX-8 or a 350z. i should go cry myself to sleep now

Im not too fond of people who drive Z's. Ive met 2 people that drive them, and both of them had horrible things to say about my car and we generally just mean people. They thought they were so much better.

Im not really bashing the car, I mean its alright, but I choose the 8 because its SOOOO much prettier, it has a back seat, and in my opinion, its just an all around better car.

O and that ugly brownish orangish color that some of the Zs are makes me want to puke. Icky.

Wrong: "My 8 handles better than that pig of a Nissan and it sucks and can't turn worth sh**."
Right: "I bought the 8 over the Z because I felt it handles better."

Wrong: "My 8 is l33t and owns the Z and I know I can beat it 'cause well, I just can."
Right: "The Z does have the edge in 0-60 and 1/4, but there were so many other things about the 8 that drove me to its purchase."

Wrong: "The Nissan interior freakin' sucks monkey gonads and is built cheap."
Right: "I preferred the interior of the 8 because it just felt right and the Z's interior seemed a little too plasticky."

You can criticize any car-it shouldn't have to lead to flaming if it's based on subjectiveness.

Those are fine, but telling someone that they're wrong because they think a car looks beautiful is not right.

Wrong : "The 8's rotary sucks monkey *****, drinks as much petrol as an SUV and runs just as slow"

Right : "The 8's rotary is a sporty engine designed for high revving action, but I want something with more torque, a little more economical and faster so I pick the Z"

Wrong : "The 8's interior looks like an up-version of a Mazda 6, light and cheap with plenty of plastic from the Star Trek parts bin"

Right : "The 8's interior is comfortable, I don't care much for comfort as I care more about turbo gauges and having a reverse video cam like I can do in the Z"

Wrong : "The 8 can't go fast no matter how much money I put into it"

Right : "The 8 and Z are 2 totally different cars"
